    HOF online.

Offline I don't know, I hate it. I think All Stars plays the most human like but it's still far from it. Above is just a load of BS.

Lets not get ridiculous. Sim, when you drill right down to it, is a state of mind, an approach to the game. Not a quarter length. And you can operate in that head-space on 1 min quarters or 12. Its like what Bruce Lee said lol, " it is like a finger pointing out to the moon, do not concentrate on the finger or you will miss all that heavenly glory." This is a problem in the community in general. Whether it be people taking all their time to complain about gameplay issues or preferences in gaming philosophies. As far as the sim community goes, I'm nowhere near as finicky as I was. We are a mere fraction of the customer base for this game. 2k's approach to online ranked games is in part proof of that. So I'm happy to even have a group to identify with. Think of all the gamers out there who are stuck with the garbage in online quick games and have no idea that this online community even exists. Some of you may not have been around in the early stages but things are a far cry from where they began. We've come a hell of a long way.

Details are an important part of the experience but when you become so consumed by them that you start to lose sight of the big picture its time to take a step back.

I'm not the best, but I have fun, so that's all that counts.

As to those criticizing the OP, it's really redundant. That's how he plays and he's sharing his thoughts, no need to get all butt hurt because someone plays a game differently from you. I don't play hardcore like he does, but I can see where his frustration is coming from.

Anyways, like I said, good thread man, I enjoyed reading all the posts from the other players to help improve my game.
Thanks man. Since you're on PS3 you should hit up Coach2K he's the PS3 equivalent to my hardcore gaming haha.

I just don't feel like playing a shorter quarter length then 12 minutes is sim. Of course you can play sim on shorter quarter lenghts but I feel like it's not truely sim because that's not the NBA quarter length.

The bolded part is exactly how I feel. I can't play Madden without 15 minute quarters, I can't play 2K without 12 minute quarters, and I can't play baseball games w/o 9 innings. It just doesn't feel right.

Well I don't know why everyones still going on about it. I made a mistake, put my hands up and apologized for it. Why can't it just be left now?

I think they're hashing out points now, now totally bashing you. I liked hearing your points, made AllStar explain where exactly he was coming from. Criticism is always needed in a public forum and you brought it eventually in an educated way.

12 minute quarters actually help get full rotations in too, at least in my opinion. I don't always play 12 min, but it definitely gives a more realistic feel.

To each their own. I like the idea of playing full length quarters like the pros, but I can't see myself playing a single game for 3 hours on any mode. I'm a mycareer player. After one season, 2k14 would be out.
