Off the top of my head, Chase Budinger. If he's open from the corner, it's 3. Pretty much anywhere else on the court, too, and he can drive as well. Not a bad rebounder, either (at least for me) - seems to get whatever boards K-Love/Pek don't. Plus he's good enough to start, IMO.

Don't know his salary offhand, though.

Terrance Ross is sick...he can two guard on just about any team. His three point rating is in the 80s he is fast and athletic.

Chase Budinger, Steve Novak (SFs), Haywood (C), Wilcox (PF) have been great for me in my fantasy draft association with the Celtics.

If you really like to keep one of the youngest, best role playing shooting guards in MarShon Brooks, I think they'd have to let go of some players.

And if you will recommend Wallace in the PF, Joe in the SF and Brooks in the SG, that's most likely not going to happen. Just because I want my Association to be realistic and Wallace is approx. 6"8' which is really really undersized for the big man spot. He'd get bullied by guys like Ibaka and Jeff Green.

So you really can't do much in that Nets' roster. They're falling apart right now this season, not getting as high as you'd expect and Deron's playing a bad season. He's not even an all-star. Lopez beat him to it!

In a few years, Johnson will probably retire at 34, because he's not that athletic as he used to be and he's getting weaker now being a shooter instead of the old Joe with the dunking skills.

As well as Gerald Wallace, probably one of the best dunkers I have seen in the early 2000's with the Kings... Man. The Kings were my favorite team and with a good role player in Wallace in his few new seasons with the Kings, that was absolutely spectacular. Nothing else you can say about that.

Deron's approx. 28 and MarShon is so young. He's probably 22 or 21.

I tell you, Deron will no longer be the Deron with the nightly double doubles with a rating of 90. He will probably be like Kidd; Getting a 76 or somewhat.

And if you look closely, MarShon has GREAT potential. It is really a waste of not using him. He's like a Jamal Crawford with not the greatest handles, but a good spot-up shooter IRL.
6'8 really isnt too small for a power forward. a lot of power forwards are 6'8. in fact, one of the examples you listed, jeff green, is only 6'9. the issue with wallace playing PF wouldnt be his height, but it would be his lack of bulk and strength.

anyway, i wasnt suggesting that you move wallace to PF. i was suggesting giving wallace less minutes since at this point in his career he really isnt much of an offensive threat anymore. in real life he is only averaging 9 points a game in 31 minutes. id just use wallace in kind of a sefolosha role as a defensive stopper that can hit the occasional 3 and score in transition.

Very true. With no signature skills, Ross still gets it going from downtown whenever I sub him in. Fantastic shooting form. Despite a mediocre mid-range rating, I can still hit jumpers with him from inside the arc. He gets me back into games whenever I'm trailing.

            Highly recommended!

For the months I had playing Association... Wallace won't even stay for sixth man. He's good at sixth man, but he always asks for more minutes.

              That's really sad.

i would still keep him as a starter but id only give him around 28 minutes. id have brooks spell johnson at shooting guard and also move johnson to sf and let brooks play sg at the same time.

Re: Good role players in NBA 2K13?

I had Bismack Biyombo in my Bobcats association and the dude gets better and better every year and never complains about his role. I mostly sim through the seasons and play the playoffs so I have advanced through a bunch of years. I can't remember what his OVR is at the start but 8-9 years in he got to an 84 OVR for me. I kept changing his role as the years went by, he didn't start complaining until his second contract was up and he was an 84 ovr playing 18-20 mins a game as a 6th man. His happiness meter was still way up though, it just said he would like a better role.

I ended up letting him walk in FA just because the starter was better and I had another guy to take his role. But he was so versatile and there was not a single season that he didn't improve in the offseason. He's the only guy I've seen who just keeps going like that, most guys level off at some point or stop developing after a few years. This dude was still getting better at like 28 years old, just crazy.

I'd really like suggestions that have low salaries and won't leave if we get like the 6th or 5th seed. Ones that can take the starting spot, but aren't stars and maybe some players with high potential (70 or above).

For me, Xavier Henry's a good role player. I've had simulated some seasons on a FD after drafting Henry 5th and he became a star player. 82 OVR which is pretty high for a guy starting on the early 70's in OVR.

J.R. Smith wants lot of money and he doesn't have that high of a potential so when he hits 30, he can most likely get left out in FA.

Jamal Crawford is also a good role player, but he likes to be a starter and have like 34 MPG. He's old at the same time, so you can't use him that much.

In the previous seasons I've had with the Bulls, 'The Tajmanian Devil' Gibson always wants to get a higher role like a starter. He is a good role player, but I think he has a potential that's too high.

Jason Terry is pretty good, a good G that can fill up the 7th or 6th spot... but he's not really that guy who is consistent on a game-to-game basis. Y'know what I mean? And he's got like 2-3 years left. 4 years if you're lucky and you're taking care of him a lot.

Patty Mills is a good player. One of the best in the game, they say. Tried it out by playing the Spurs. 2 seasons in, he's gotten better. Having 79 OVR. Downside was, he's wanting $10M, a starting spot, and he gets sluggish most of the time. I've played him, and I could just say...

Xavier Henry is really the best role player I can ever play in association, no doubt. Doesn't want to leave the team after 5 or 6 years in and doesn't have that high of a contract. He has approx. only $8M in 5 years. Which is pretty small for a guy that's 82 OVR. Which is pretty much worth it. Other than paying $14M for inconsistent centers like Bogut. But still, $13M is not worth it for a guy like Horford. He's a good rebounder, but other than close range shooting... he can't light it up from 13FT beyond. Which sucks.

Any other suggestions that I can use in my association?
I enjoy Chris Copeland. He has a nice set jumper. Good shooting ratings and he always did well when Melo was out.
