Scouts aren't going crazy about Santos but they also don't want to take their eyes off of Santos because they notice he has a good amount of potential and in the right system he could flourish and even be a building centerpiece. he does have trouble with his defense and athleticism and that is the reason so many teams are not sure about him.

      Left or Right Handed: Left
Current or Classic NBA Player Comparison: JJ Redick

      Shoes:

      Strengths:
      1. Good Spot Shooter
      2. Good On-Ball Defender
      3. High Basketball IQ
      4.
      5.

      Weaknesses:
      1. Lack of Speed and Athleticism
      2. Bad Pick & Roll Defender
      3. Bad at getting through off ball screens
      4.
      5.

Scouts aren't going crazy for him. He is a projected 2nd Round Pick. He appears to be a good role player that could be in the league a long time because of his shooting. Despite lack of speed, he could stay in front of scorers. He is a little weak at defending the pick and roll and getting through off ball screens. He is a gym rat that will continue to improve.

        Re: Fictional Draft Class (PS3)

        First Name: Ceciel
        Last Name: Maxwell
        Nickname: n/a
        School/From: North Carolina
        Birthdate (09/24/YYYY): 19 y/o (on draft day)
        Position: SG
        2nd Position: n/a
        Play Style: Athletic/Scoring
        Number: 1
        Left or Right Handed: Right
Current or Classic NBA Player Comparison: Jason Richardson

        Height: 6'6"
        Weight: 194
        Tattoos:
        Skin Tone: 4
Hair Style & Color: Medium Stubble/Black
        Facial Hair: None
Gear: Both wrists: powerbands, Left Elbow: High Band, Left Leg: Calf Sleeve

        Shoes: Kobe VII ID

        Strengths:
        1. One of the highest upsides in the draft.
        2. Athletic freak on the court
        3. Combination of exceptional speed and handles combined with elite athleticism makes him a terror in transition when finishing at the rim.
        4. Smart player who has a good feel for where his teammates are at all times on both ends of the floor.
        5. Can use his handles and speed to create his own shot.

        Weaknesses:
        1. Has a decent jumpshot for a guard with great range, but lacks consistency
        2. Defense needs to improve
        3. Though his athleticism helps him rebound, he lacks great anticipation to crash the boards.
        4. Slightly below average free throw shooter (73-74%)
        5.

Maxwell led the ACC in scoring with 23.5 PPG on 46% FG shooting. As the No.3 ranked high school player last year, people have always had high hopes for the kid before he ever set foot in UNC. Though UNC was left packing in a loss to Kentucky in the Final Four, Maxwell finished the game with 23 pts, 7 reb, 4 ast, 2 stl and 1 block. Scouts have him as a lock in the lottery, possibly top 5 depending on workout impressions. He should definitely be the first two guard off the board.

As far as abilities, Maxwell is easily the most athletic wing in the draft. For a two guard, his combination of quickness, speed and handles is definitely elite. Coupled with a scorer's mentality, comparisons to a 17 year old Kobe Bryant were often made all throughout his high school prep career. The only major difference between them is Kobe was a much better defensive player (and thus a better all-around player) coming into the league. Maxwell is well aware that he must improve defensively to take his game to the next level, and will stop at nothing to make sure he reaches his two main goals: Win an NBA Championship and be inducted to the NBA Hall of Fame.

Well, growing up in a terrible neighborhood, Marcus is similar to DeMarcus Cousins in personality. He can be one of the best players to play the game, or a huge bust. In this case, he is one the best. His athleticism for his size reminds you of a way more advanced Nate Robinson. His on ball d is great, similar to Rondo's game. His lack of passing ability makes Scouts question his ability to play the point, tho he is too short for the SG position. His potential is an A-, according to scouts. It should grow as he matures. He states his passing, rebounding, and strength WILL increase, helping him become "the LeBron of Point Guards." His shooting is similar to Derrick Roses', with his 3pt game much stronger. Should be a top 2 pick.

Tell me something about your player and What scouts say about his abilities and potential.

-"Scouts are more than impressed with his ability to create and hit shots from all over the court, which is made easier by his ability to use either hand equally well. "

                  -"Average finisher inside, in traffic."

-"Does a very good job of hitting the open man, whether it be on passing out of a double team or dishing off during a drive. But, don't expect him to create looks for everyone."

-"Very solid off ball defender. Often keeps his man from touching the ball, and jumps passing lanes well."

-"Lights out free throw shooter". (Seriously - in real life, I shot 88% for my high school career).

-"Can catch fire in a hurry"

                  Weaknesses

-"Doesn't attack the boards (offensive or defensive) very well or very often."

-"It's a good thing he can keep guys from getting the ball because if they do, his on-ball defense is sub par."

-"Prone to standing around the three point line/settling for threes, rather than attacking the basket."

-"Scouts are not impressed with his overall speed and athleticism, but they think his quick jumping ability and quickness with and without the ball can make up for it on both ends of the floor."

Best Case Scenario - Stephen Curry

Worst Case Scenario - Daniel Gibson
