Re: Nike Elite "Path to Greatness" 2.0 CAP (Sign-Ups)

    2008-09 Season Preview

    BIG EAST

    GEORGETOWN
Didn't have a very strong season last year going 13-17 but they are stacked with talent,
Dikumba Iboymo C he has returned for his sophomore season, he is a freakishly tall center who ios easily the tallest player in the NCAA.

Wayne Worm PF a 6-8 Forward who can grab boards and can hit shots when left open, a good player and will be starting this year

Lucas Lagos PF a 6-11 Forward who will start at SF this year, he can do it all and is the star player of this team

Denaun Berry PG a quick and athletic guard who can spread the floor, drive the lane and pass well, he will surprisingly be starting over returning Guard Markel Starks (Correct me if I'm wrong on the name.)

    Saint Mary's

Andrew Warren Saint Mary's #2 scorer last year has returned HE was going to be a lottery pick but decided to return to play at least one more year of college ball. He should be their top players this year.

Ju Ward PG A small Point guard with a strong stature, he will start at point for SAINT MARY'S this year as a sophomore.

    St Johns

Francis O`Malley SG this year he will most likely be St Johns KEY player, hopefully he can step up to the challenge.

    BIG TEN

    Ohio State

Vee Bennett SG was the top prospect out if this year's Nike Elite Camp, he scored over 20 points most of the time, he can definitely score, he will surprisingly start over Lenzelle Smith Jr.

    Michigan State

Charles Webber PF Webber has drawn many comparisons to Charles Barkley, he is very similar and he is a REBOUNDING and SCORING machine.

John Stafford SF he is just one of those players you want on your team, he isn't special in one area, he is good at pretty much everything.

    MAC

    Akron

Markus Williams was the number one player in last years Nike Elite Camp, he is surprisingly returning after he could've been drafted in th top 5, Hopefully he keeps playing well and DOSENT bust.

Sir Charles Knight SG an excellent outside scorer and occasionally a vicious dunker and shot blocker, he should be a good player this year.

    Southern

    Texas at Arlington

PG Shawn Wyatt a great distributor he should be a great point guard at UTA he can pass to Derwin Ollie and his brother Xavier Wyatt.

SF Xavier Wyatt a good athletic player who can score pretty well, should receive some great passes from Shawn

C Derwin Ollie similar to Dikumba Iboymo except NOT as tall should be a beast in the paint.

    SEC

    ALABAMA

PG Chris Jones Another good distributor who can pass to Danny Jones his brother.

SG Danny Jones good shooter who will get passed to by His bro Chris.

I will DO UCLA BUTLER AND MEMPHIS LATER.

NBA DRAFT RESULTS ( This was a very weak class all Nike Elite players were LOTTERY picks)

ROUND ONE PICK TWO, MAGIC: Demarcus Reed
RD 1 Pick 7 Cavaliers: Deaunte Jones
Rd 1 pick 8 Jack Webber: Raptors
Rd 1 pick 10 Hornets: Aco Petrovic Jr

How do the players feel about these selections?

      ESPN REPORTER

DEMARCUS REED: I think he will immediately take the starting SF spot...

DEAUNTE JONES: DIDN'T HAVE MUCH PLAYING TIME AT UNC HE WILL BE A GOOD ROLE PLAYER FOR A FEW YEARS AND THEN PROBABLY START

JACK WEBBER: HE WILL BE A GREAT ROLE PLAYER, SHOULD PLAY DECENT MINUTES

ACO PETROVIC JR: POSSIBLE TWIN TOWERS WITH ANTHONY DAVIS?

                BUTLER

DELL WISE SG LENGTHY TWO GUARD WITH GOOD INTANGIBLES AND HAS GOOD SKIILS, ALONG WITH RETURNING FORWARD ROOSEVELT JONES, BUTLER COULD BE A GREAT TEAM.

                MEMPHIS

KONRAD KEMP PF GOOD OVERALL FORWARD SIMILAR TO JABAR MCGEE BUT WITH A BETTER JUMPER AND POST MOVES HE SHOUL MANY POINTS IN THE PAINT AND IN MID RANGE THIS YEAR, HE WILL BE STARTING THIS YEAR.

                UCLA

JAMARCUS CHAMBERS SF BIG SMALL FORWARD WHO CAN SCORE INSIDE, HE IS ALSO A GREAT FINISHER HE JUST HAS TO WORK ON HIS JUMPER A LITTLE, HIM AND SHABAZZ MUHAMMAD WILL MAKE A GREAT DUO AT UCLA.
