Controller Position Lock For Online Assoc.?

I went to controller settings in my OA menu, and changed my position preference to PG. Doing this, should result in me being player locked on the PG and the rest of my team should be CPU's. It didn't work, is there anyway to position lock at all for OA or online period?

No ... you have an alternative, thus not quite what you may be looking ... private teamup ... you can play with friends or with the last people you gamed with that are on (1-9) and the users would be lock to the positions each chooses ... it doesnt gives you the persistent stat tracking, nor the association benefits, but it gives you the oncourt experience of pos lock in online ... I joined a teamup league that works around this option, they do the stat tracking by taking pictures of the stats screen at end of games and use a site to post stats, standings and such.

Here is to hope that 2k14, at least for the next generation of consoles, finally give us all offline options for online and even more, expand upon them !

I thank you for your through explanation, and probably could have saved you some time if I prefaced my question with the fact that I am strictly a team up private player, but was looking for a new experience.

I Cannot stand 1v1 mode on this game, what is very tolerable is a 1v1 team up I play with friends with computers. This game is at it's best in team up mode.

I thank you again for your thoughtful reply.

I've done it for CPU games in Online Association before. Just set the same controller setting in-game.

Yeah, I noticed it allows it for CPU games, just not against a human.
