Re: So ... Do you like the signature skills?
Didn't 2k have to take a signature skill out for a tournament or something? At first it was cool, the idea was cool, but most signature skills are over powered, the signature skills I felt that actually are realistic and aren't overpowered, were chase down, shot creator, lockdown defender, dimer, and post playmaker. The overpowered ones, acrobat, ankle breaker, brick wall(cpu), closer, scrapper, bruiser, deadeye and posterizer. These sig skills need to be toned down, instead of being removed completely imo.ARE YOU LOOKING FOR YOUTUBE CHANNELS DEDICATED TO THE SIM COMMUNITY CLICK THE LINKS BELOW, AND SUBSCRIBE FOR ALL SIM CONTENT.

Re: So ... Do you like the signature skills?
I like Sig Skills for the most part, but some of them are a little "over implemented"...
I was just playing my Bobcats Association (Feb 2013-14 Season) versus (CPU) Spurs...
They acquired Dwight Howard to round out their "Usual Suspects" lineup...
They're about a 90 OVR, I'm around a 74 or so and although I played them "back and forth" for 46 minutes, the last 2 minutes was basically a layup drill for them, while most of my last minute shots hit the rim and went out of bounds...
The 4th Quarter Stats and the Gamelog for the last couple minutes looked pretty hysterical...
65% from the floor / 100% from 3 / 8 OREB / etc...
ALL in "Winning Time"...
Fine with losing, but I'd like to see 2k figure out a way to make this sort of result happen without it turning into a "Otherworldly Highlight Reel"...
I'm a few dozen games in, so this is the first time I've seen this happen to this degree, so it's not constant...
But when a floor full of guys with Sig Skills need to "Go Off" late in the 4th?
Boy, DO THEY!

Re: So ... Do you like the signature skills?
They are an amazing idea but can only be implemented properly once a whole heap of gameplay issues have been fixed. Also a lot of them need to actually effect what happens on the court and not just give ratings boosts e.g dimer if the same pass comes from rondo and darren collison the guy catching rondo's pass has a better chance to make the shot THEY ARE THE SAME PASS! Change the dimer skill so it actually makes a difference in the pass you see going to the player and not just the shot because bad players can hit players in their shooting pockets too even if its just luck. And fix the way floor general and defensive anchor have been implemented so silly they should affect the players positioning and movement on the court not talent based ratings. And some are just plain old not needed aka posteriser which happens enough without the sig skill. Also Closer shouldn't need to explain that oneComment

Re: So ... Do you like the signature skills?
I like them but I do think they need to be tweeked both in how they are used and in the skills themselves.
First, I think the number of people getting them should be limited - maybe 5 - 10 people in he entire league should have each one.
Secondly, I think the number allocated to each player should be reduced - 2 at most imo.
Third, defensive signature skills should be increased in effectiveness but narrowed in scope. Chris Paul might deserve to have active hands, but their application should be only effective against other ball-handlers.
The main thing is to limit the players assigned - Only one person should have the "Floor General" or the "Defensive Anchor" skills in my opinion. These should be reserved for the John Stockton/David Robinson level of players - not the Derrik Fisher/Kwame Browns.Comment

Re: So ... Do you like the signature skills?
they are nice, but i think for rosters they should be rating base requirments like in mycareer.
so i can't just go add shot creator to say, dwight howard if i wanted to, i would need the requirments for lvl 3 shot creator carried over from mycareerComment

Re: So ... Do you like the signature skills?
I like them BUT I don't like them
To me it seems like most IF not ALL are overpowered especially ankle breaker I mean if a player has an ankle breaker Sig Skill they can cross any GREAT defender in the world .... LeBron, Rondo, Kobe, Tony Allen, Kidd-Gilchrist, Rose, CP3, Iggy, Wade, etc... can get crossed multiple times in a game
I mean it funny 1 once in a game but I mean thru out the WHOLE game it can get kind of boring I mean this is the NBA unless your Brandon Knight lmaoLOUISVILLE
