What's up with all the Nate hate? Lol He saved us a couple of games. I think he's deserving of his increase (Along with Jimmy Butler). I think there are players that are also deserving that didn't see ratings improvements and that's why people are pinpointing on Nate. He's come up big in the playoffs and I thought the ratings updates were about how they're playing "at the moment" anyway. Plus that bad shooting game came against a stout Miami defense!

What I'd like to know is if he actually thinks he's good enough to have that kind of role on any team...
As a Mavs fan, I've spent years complaining about Terry as our 2nd option, but watching J.R. play right now...there was that one sequence in game 5 where he finally made 2 freethrows after bricking everything, and a few seconds later he has a great idea...let's jack up another pullup three!
And the funny thing is, this year he's actually more efficient than in the 2012 playoffs. Wow.
@TalenT
I don't get the hate for Robinson either, I mean what are the Bulls supposed to do besides hoping that Nate gets hot from 3 for a few games with the depleted roster? Nothing else there. But I also don't like 2k overreacting with stupid "upgrades". Nate did not suddenly become a better player, so rating boost seem unnecessary to me.Last edited by mango_prom; 05-16-2013, 01:09 PM.Comment

Actually, playing only limited minutes as a backup, he's surprisingly efficient. He has a 49.5 eFG% for his career. Was surprised when I looked it up. Now I agree that he's not exactly the guy you want to run the offense. But as a bench scoring option playing something like 20 minutes a game, he's as good as it gets. If you don't care about defense...Comment

Yeah im not hating on Nate either...that Bulls team kinda needed him to be a chucker anyway imo...I will however say that his ratings, and J.R. Smith's for that matter, are a bit inflated.

He also is a guy that just had an epic playoff run when inserted into a high minute situation. Not to mention single-handedly won a game, in the clutch, against the Nets. IJS."I BALL FOR REAL, YALL DUDES IS SAM BOWIE."

Re: NBA 2K13 Roster Update Details (5-11-13)
Melo is playing within the team concept. JR, however, is not. Dude goes iso nearly every time he touches the ball. His possessions always end up as a contested jumpshot, contested step back jumpshot, turnover, or a forced drive with a wild shot at the rim. You obviously want the guy to get going but you can't have him playing like a headless chicken out there. His stock has really fallen because of the playoffs (not the first time he sucked in the playoffs though) so he can kiss that overpaid contract he was going to get this summer good bye.Comment

Re: NBA 2K13 Roster Update Details (5-11-13)
epic playoff run? JR Smith is a career 39% (31% from deep) shooter in the playoffs. He's shooting a terrible 33% this year in the playoffs. He has always choked in the playoffs, so it's nothing new. The only time he was good in the playoffs was in 2008 when they went up against the Lakers. They still got swept in the first round though.Comment

I just took a look at Nate Robinson's individual attributes and I must say...2K did A LOT of reaching to get him to what he is at.Comment

They really jumped the gun on Eric Bledsoe too, though they actually need to increase his 3 point shot (72 rating, shot 39.7% on the season). I mean, is Bledsoe really a better player than Jeff Teague? Or how about George Hill?Twitter: @TyroneisMaximus

Re: NBA 2K13 Roster Update Details (5-11-13)
My point is...when they update the ratings isn't it a representation of how that particular player is performing CURRENTLY? So if a player is hot IRL...he should be hot in the game. Do you agree? That way if the player comes back down to Earth you decrease him in the next update. I'm no ratings guru or anything but I know Nate has been good enough to be nationally recognized. He got some attention."I BALL FOR REAL, YALL DUDES IS SAM BOWIE."

Re: NBA 2K13 Roster Update Details (5-11-13)
well, im iffy on calling iso chucking all the time, because that is some teams offense (atlanta with johnson/smith previous years, nets now)
actually, yes JR is doing that, i've watched every game and ESPECIALLY in the celtics series he got the ball with 15 seconds on the clock multiple times and just dribbled it out and threw up garbageComment
