Re: Worst rating in the game
i've got him at a 60 i think.
frankly he is a better passer than alot of the guards in the NBA, but i reserve 70+ for guys who can get you 6+ assists a night every nightComment

How about D wades shooting, mid range and from 3, he was never good shooter, ever. Especially couldn't catch and shoot. Messed up ratings make me so mad

Re: Worst rating in the game
Marc's rebound ratings are actually generous. He doesn't deserve his current rebound ratings based on actual production.
See Al Jefferson who averaged more boards than Marc in less minutes yet has a much worse rebound rating than Marc.

Re: Worst rating in the game
i forget who it was, but when i was doing my roster edits 2 months ago, i saw a guy with a 90 mid range rating, he shot 37% from mid range this seasonComment

Anthony Davis' offensive game relies a lot on his mid range shot, and according to 2k, he can't shoot a mid range shot at all. They have him at 65. He should be at least 75-80.Comment

Re: Worst rating in the game
He took a TON of shots though.
No it doesn't, tendency is how often a player will perform the move not a ability.Yes it does, Tony Parker has a 98 layup 92 shot close and a 81 shoot off dribble and he can't make them consistently because of his tendency.
While Tim Hardaway has a 92 layup, 82 close and a 95 shoot off dribble and he makes it almost everytime. Why? He has a 99 runner tendency.Comment

Re: Worst rating in the game
but then again, it does ... never ever take for granted 2ks description ... always go the route of desbelief and testing ... dont take my word on it, take MWs ...
Mike Wang posted here ... "dont ask why but the tendency has an effect on how much it goes in" ... if I have learned something certaint about how ratings and tendencies work in the game, is to do not blindly believe what 2k description says ...
Here is a JWill (unfairly banned for bumping threads that directly related to many other threads with claims and/or asking guidancee of some aspect of the game) post that links to the exact post of the Dev ... I used the search function within 2k main thread, looking for runner tendency ...

Re: Worst rating in the game
In regards of worst rating, 3 come to my mind due to how happily, unscaled and out of any statisticall base they are handed out ...
SOD
SIT
STRENGTH
We have strictly spot up guys with high SOD, guards stronger than most Cs and defficient traffic scorers with a high rating ... almost all of these ratings are just unrelated to what players do on the court.Comment

Re: Worst rating in the game
How about 80% of the players?
The ratings system in 2K's NBA series is broken. Dirk Nowitzki's rating has been terrible for 13 years because of the type of game he plays. They rate players based on how the "position" they play has historically played yet the NBA today is almost a position-less game. Dirk plays more like a 3, so his rating suffers. Chris Bosh plays more like a SF than a C, so his rating suffers. And on and on.
Not to mention the fact they overrate guys who play for teams with more vocal teams. They overrate star players and give boosts to guys who have fans that complaint on Twitter more. They often will increase a player only to increase their over all rating just to please people. A guy will get +4 in offensive awareness (or another stat) because they know it'll give them a overall raise, when there is no reason to increase said area of their game.
They are terrible at ratings and this is not a new development.Comment
