I guess I'm saying as fun as MyPlayer is (and I'm sure will continue to be) other sports games are starting to beef up and polish in one of the areas where 2K basketball is the weakest and they have to respond. It would be ridiculous for 2Ks flagship and pretty much only Sports game to have one of the weakest and least innovative career modes lol.

Agreed. I want to be able to "realistically" manage a franchise. Applying 90% of direction toward MyPlayer, 8% toward online interaction, and 2% toward bounce passes just was not cutting it for me.

The Association in recent years has felt more just like playing a series of quick games over and over again with the same team. It's hard to get a pulse of the entire league (past the main headline each day) and everything around me feels... dead. No D-League, no in-game injuries, no coaches personalities, no real feel of depth or importance to the players on the roster.

I'm just looking for something fresh and in-depth. Or maybe the return of the NFL2K5 Crib.

Hopefully next gen will have big improvements on the Association mode but for the current gen i dont think it will be improved i mean in 2k13 they took away more then they added to the mode. But i do have high hopes for next gen since 2k will have competition again im tired of legends and myplayer being 2ks main forcus over the last 2 or three years.

Bring back D-league, add Summer League, and a comprehensive overhaul of CPU roster-management logic including rotations, sign/trade, and draft improvements. If--and which should be done given it will probably be in NBA live, provided the game is released--MyPlayer were integrated with Association, 2K would have more than enough reason to renovate the mode.

I just noticed you can't even trade in the free agency period which is dumb. I really wish 2k would fix that along with adding sign and trades plus amnesty.

Honestly small changes making it similar to my player
Would be great and easy add ins and I expect them in the game.

1. Team interviews. Player of the game has interview after the game or if you lost a significant player or coach or gm gets asked questions about performance, trade rumors and firings.

2. Tweets. Have that and add more types of fans and popularity and dynamic rumors based on stats

3. Gm sit ins: call players and coaches in and demand starting players, ask about performance and have these affect ratings and rumors. Perhaps a gm sit in will make the player nervous and make him lose attribute or give motivation and improve rating. May add to rumor mill. May make team popular for rumors or unpopular to fa based on ratings. Teams that have poor ratings have harder time signing coaches and players

4. Better injuries: more on court injuries and animations. Honestly I saw none in 2k13 and I played a lot. I saw many in 12 and previous ones but having that add to story would be good.

5. Edit arena colors logo or sell team or move a team.

6. More defined rolls. Better Chem when winning even if players don't play and vice versa. Constantly add dynamic personality. If players are known to be wanting out or staying in have that modified in your season. Also dynamo player ratings can be turned on or off. That would make me feel as if playing through a realistic season rather that stupid players getting random boosts for just sake of increased ratings.

7. Offseason. It hasn't changed in forever.
Interview draftees. Interview free agents. More than contract offers sell the fa with billboards,bonuses , recruit your players to help. Higher rated players can help recruit. (New sig promoter: makes positive impact on floor and offseason)

8. Increase real coach candidates and have assistant coached and head coaches in the same pool as well as gm hirings. Rate front office, players.

for number 7. ways you could "recruit" a free agent is how good of facilities you have, financial stability, stadium, location of team, plus how much you offer them.

I just dont understand why 2k cant make everything as realistic as possible. doesnt it seem like it would be easier to copy step by step what the nba does instead of make up your bull**** rules.

Knowing 2k, probably not...

But, I'd like to see the Summer League and D-League among all things.

I'd also like to see post-season GM sitdowns like in real-life. You get to talk to your players and coach about how they are feeling, or what needs to be changed.

It is clear that EA Sports knows whats up and has sick Franchise modes for both Madden and Fifa. 2K will never learn what its consumers want cuz they dnt listen.

Didn't they kind of have this for MyPlayer mode? I'm not quite sure where I stand on the idea because it seems it'd be relatively limited and repetitive. Also reminds me of:

All GM modes should be created from a solid foundation of "Story-telling"

IRL a team is defined by their story from the first game to the last.

Look at the Chicago Blackhawks a team that broke a streak record and won the cup in the same year.

Next Gen needs to have smart presentation that can recognize team accomplishments, player personalities, on court and off court decisions that effect a team as a whole and create that story.

Could you imagine if every decision you made week to week effected how fans, players & coaches all over the league and other GM's feel about you?

The immersion possibilities have a chance too really blur reality

Love the confidence but after years of minimum changes how are u so sure of a drastic change this year??? Next gen sure but current gen i have little faith in.

I believe if 2k didnt allow us to change the ratings of each player during the association there would be alot more complaints.
