    Re: Team-Up Thread

The C2K Pacers traveled to Madison Square Garden tonight to battle the C2K Knicks. It was a hard fought game with us giving up a lot in the second. We battled back and took the lead in the 90's but then the Knicks answered our charge.

It was a great game 12 minute quarter game. The Knicks lost one guy at the four spot sometime in the game and while all five of our guys were out there the whole way, they played about a half with four.

    Hibbert with a triple double.

Anyone out there that runs with a group that needs another dude ?

I can play all positions but Im especially good with lowpost scorers...

Im just trying to find a group of guys to consistently run with... Im tired of being the only guy that knows what hes doing in teamups. Even in the privates I've played, people dont know moves... they dont know when and where to pass... and they dont know how to best use their player in whatever matchup they have...

If anyone needs another let me know... I play unselfishly unless my group needs me to score if we're struggling and I usually wind up with triple doubles regularly whenever I get the 4 or 5, as long as I get some touches...

Im tired of playing with people who want to play with really good halfcourt teams but want to play fastbreak with them lol... Im not saying I cant or wont play fastbreak its just that I played with a group in a private that was just gunning shots repeatedly and I couldnt get the ball at all in the post and we were playing with Utah... So one of the best lowpost players in the game and the top player for his team cant get the ball lol... I still finished with 12 and 15 with Al Jefferson but my team still lost because of all the bad shots they took and never let me work out of the post...

Going to have to pass tonight - family surprised me and flew in to visit.

They have since then annoyed me and asked for crew mode.

Next Friday for sure. I want to kick it with the OS pals and whoop on some of you in TEAM UP.

Wassup, I definitely wanna ball. I can run all positions with ease. Preferably Point Guard though.

                        Re: Team-Up Thread

The C2K Pacers Team-Up squad got an invite to play against PSN MightyRx and his team-up squad. I was told before the game they play team-up all of the time. This is the second human team we have played. They were much better than we were at this point and had a very specific and well defined screening game plan and I put one of their plays in a video below. They also played a good 2-3 zone which we haven't faced yet as a unit.

Our squad is still learning and so we hung with them for awhile and we eventually got out of our game plan especially when we lost one of our guys sometime in the third. Regardless I don't think it would have mattered in the final result.

One odd thing about the game that we also hadn't seen was when we called time out, unlike when we normally play where we have a full time out, we had no opportunity to sub. Does anyone know why that is?

Good game guys if you see this.

                        Box score:

In the C2K Pacers first game tonight we were able to defeat the HOF CPU Hornets bringing to six the number HOF CPU teams we have beaten.

Good game HOF CPU! Almost held you under 100...lol.

Maybe we should plan a team up night for Friday and Saturday night.Mainly cuz tthat's a lot of people who might wanna play and we probably can't play with all those people at once. And not everyone can play on one night but are usually available for the other one. This way if you can't play on Friday you can play on Saturday and vice versa. Just a thought i had.

                                Re: Team-Up Thread

For those of you who want to play team-up that are team less. Here are some suggestions.

                                1. Make note of other guys in this thread who want to play team-up and their systems.
                                2. Join together as a team even if you don't have five guys yet. Run with what you have.
                                3. Make it your goal to have five and only five guys so you can get to know each others tendencies.
                                4. Pick a team that you will always play as. Create an identity. I'm from Indy and my team runs as the Pacers because of that. If you are from Houston, be Houston. Don't stick to superstar teams just because you want to win.
                                5. Pick a position on your team and always be that guy on the team. Be flexible in the beginning as you build your team realizing someone might be able to play your spot better. If they can, let them move there and assume a different role on the team.
                                6. After your game, take a picture of your box score and post it here.
                                7. If you only play with 2 against the CPU, so be it. Let the thread know you are looking for someone to fill your other spots. Once people see you play often and what you need, offers will eventually come. Try those guys out.
                                8. Obviously someone needs to be in charge. Make decisions. It might have to be you. Talk to each other and figure out what type of role each person should play. Figure out what offense and defense you are going to run. Sometimes personalities or playstyles don't mix. Realize it might take you a little bit to find a squad that enjoys playing together.
                                9. Practice with your squad against the CPU until you can find a full team and even then continue to play against the CPU to get practice in. Create an environment where everyone knows it's ok to make mistakes.
                                10. Realize it might take some work to bring together a squad you like but strive to find a five man unit so you can stand ready when other five man units start appearing.

Those are some tips. Good luck!
