BACKROUND: Ballard is that "Playerground Baller"... The dude who dominated the streets of Chicago. He's compared to a poor mans Kyrie Irving because he has the skillset but he's really just not a NBA prospect but he's a cant miss skillset player. Typically analyst say he's somebody who needs to be on Ball-Up or And One type of basketballl, not a professional level.
Therefore that is why he is not expected to go anywhere near the lottery.
Ballard tried out for Simeon's Varsity basketball team as a junior but was cut because attitude problems. He then transferred to Morgan Park...
Was ranked 39th in ESPN 100 coming out of his senior season at Morgan Park in Illinois. He averaged 17.9 points per game along with 8.3 assists that year.
He was named a McDonalds All-American and was the co-MVP of the game with 16 points and 13 assists...
Eric Ballard verbally committed to Illinois University in his senior season turning down offers from Ball State, Ohio State, Iowa, and Florida State.

Strengths: Terrific ball handler, he can make teams defense summer if he shows up... Has a reliable jump shot, not great but not bad. Can get into the lane at a high rate and is a good finisher. Court vision is a thing of beauty.... He finds passes when least expected. Also extremely quick, if not the fastest in this draft.

Weaknesses: Probably has NO ceiling... He think he's one of the best players in the, get this, WORLD. He stated this in a press conference. He's a Allen Iverson prototype, Iverson was his idol and now he believes he's better than everyone and doesn't think he needs practice. Has major attitude problems and most likely wont commit to any NBA team unless he's averaging over 20 a game. "He could care less about winning, he only cares about his individual statistics" this was stated by an anonymous teammate of Ballard. Eric Ballard will also try to be too flashy, not sometimes but ALL THE TIME! He's always caught up doing some pointless size up move, throwing behind the back passes to somebody right next to him, and more.
Only shot 64.7% from the foul line in college... Is a streaky jump shooter. Will get hot at times and will get cold but will continue to shoot them.
Is somewhat an undersized guard... Won't have an easy time driving to the hoop against NBA bigs.

FRESHMEN SEASON -- The Fighting Illumni had taken a big fall since last season since they lost Brandon Paul to the NBA. It was up to Ballard to revive the program.
Didn't quite work out... Ballard started the first 5 games of the schedule and them he was benched because of production. He then wasn't started again until game #18... He voiced his frustrations on Twitter from time to time during that stretch.
Ballard also was reportedly skipping a few practices. When he somehow re-earned his starting role he averaged 13.7 points with 4.1 assists and 1.8 steals.
This included a 26 point performance against #8 Indiana. The Illumni were rewarded a #8 Seed in the NCAA Tournament.
They took down #9 Colorado but lost next round to # Syracuse.

Ballard's NBA decision wasn't expected but he entered his name in the draft and will hope to hear Stern call it out soon.

Point Guard In A Big Mans Body, Has the athleticism and creativity at the rim that reminds remind people of Shawn Kemp in his prime. And his blocking ability is unmatched coming out of college.

HIGHSCHOOL:
In the small little city of Duncanville was the star Markus "Smoove" Williams, he was the truth since he stepped on the court as an 8th grader. He lead his squad to 5 Straight Class 5A state championships and 2 National Championships. He made other players look like scrubs with his athletiscism. See at first Smoove was a dominating linebacker who could hoop but then when he grew his junior year to 6'8 he hung up the cleats and started to really use his talent in the gym.

College:
Smoove was supposed to be the next Great thing in the basketball world but then he got cocky and his mindset really took a turn for the worst. When teammates don't finish on his passes or make a mistake he gets mad crazy. He had every college in his hands until his last State championship, where during the celebration after he was asked how the other team players played. And He responded, "F*** them N***** they sorry A** H***, Scrub *SS N*****. And immediately everyone pulled out except TSU, who were desperate and accepted him. He still has a little anger issues.

Skills Evaluation:
Guy has crazy atheliscm, he literally did a free throw dunk in traffic the other night! And for a guy who is supposed to be underweight he is scrapy and willing to bang with the best of them, he even tried to bang with Markel Brown but Markel won that matchup easily, but Smoove had a tremendous block on him that brought the arena to thier feet. He has the court-vision of an All-NBA PG that is seriously suprising do to his maturity level. He always comes in the clutch for his team in his last game in the Sweet 16 he scored 27 points in the last 5mins and brought his team back down by one and instead of forcing a 3 ball he sent a beautiful pass to his teamate who was wide open coming down the lane and he blew it at the buzzer, at the press conference afterwards Smoove just said, " Proved my point, I'm done talking, time to move on" and stared at the crowd with those sad eyes.

Why would I want to get it in the post when I could just run over my defender and dunk it on their face leaving them in the largest shame of their life. I like to make my defend feel so weak that he later goes home to his wife and kids and question his existence.

Tubbington Childress attended a generic high school that doesn't really matter where he was a bench warmer on his highschool team. At that point in time he was only about 5'9 and didn't have much of a offensive repertoire aside from his agility, handles, and speed, he simply lacked basketball iq. After he graduated High School at the top of his class he decided instead of going to a traditional 4 year college.. he decided to travel the world to seek enlightenment. Over the next year, he hit a exponential growth spurt that led to him to become 7'2. With his new height.. he immediately went to the local gym and became a gym rat.

Tubbington became very ripped and he kept all of his abilities which led to a very unique skill set. He could dunk like Jordan and was extremely tall. He decided to take his talents to the local street court where he just flat out dominated the competition. One day an NBADL scout was walking by after his daily coffee run and he witnessed the greatness that is Tubbington Childress. Immediately he recruited Childress to come try out for the local D-League team. Childress dominated his try-outs and a video of it was released to the public. The NBA witnessed his greatness and immediately everyone was raving about this highlight machine.

Childress of course declined the offer to join some D-Leauge team and instead made the bold decision to enter his name into the 2014 NBA Draft!

At the draft workouts... Childress met a lot of other prospects.. but one prospect that irked him was the center from NC State, Markel Brown. Everything about Brown's character made him feel like he was a very unlikable guy. He constantly bragged about his repeat championship and his "polished game". During a pick-up game among the recruits, Childress and Brown were placed on separate teams. Childress, looking to improve his draft stock, began a barrage of fancy dunks on Brown. Childress quickly racked up the points and left Brown on the ground. However Brown was not going to let this slide and the two engaged in a duel that left the entire NBA in awe. Childress emerged on the victorious team and landed a blow to Brown. Markel Brown was never going to forget his name and their rivalry will last forever.

POST NBA DRAFT -- Childress is looking to work on his fancy handles even more. He stated that the NBA better be ready to see greatness

I like the idea of a C with PG skills but the 7'2 to me feels a little too unrealistic it seems to awkward for a player that can jump like LeBron. I'll be fine with a 6'10 C whos pretty athletic but cant shoot

Carl grew up on the streets of Brooklyn. He's half Caucasian, half Guyanese. His mother's side of the family has a gene for gray hair, and he inherited. Growing up through domestic violence shelters with his mother and being picked on for his hair, he keeps the hair as motivation to become the best he can be. He is comparable to Ben McLemore and his story. He gets comparisons to Rajon Rondo for his ability to run an offense and Jason Kidd for his IQ. He played mostly in the YMCA where people judged based on his appearance. At first glance, he appears like a normal Caucasian kid, when he really had more behind him. He played in parks too, where he showed off his flashy layups and incredible abilities to pass. His first high school was shut down and he was forced to move to another one. There he finally had a chance to join a team, as the past school didnt have a team. In his first game, he dished out 12 assists and 10 points. He made more consistent efforts, getting a starting role and eventually finding his way to college. Many colleges wanted to recruit him, but he said he wanted to stay as close to home as possible, going to Delaware State University, playing for the Red Hornets. On a side note, he celebrates on the bench like Kent Bazemore and screams, "Ball Don't Lie!" Like Rasheed Wallace.

I like the idea of a C with PG skills but the 7'2 to me feels a little too unrealistic it seems to awkward for a player that can jump like LeBron. I'll be fine with a 6'10 C whos pretty athletic but cant shoot
