Yeah it's somewhat like madden, but that was a tip I learned in 2k12. Since it was hard as hell to get past the cpu in that game

Okay and I just did a video for you on the launch point, not just you but others that are having trouble with getting past defenders still and slow launches.

Small bursts of turbo is perfect advice.I remember 2k12 when you held turbo the defenders were going crazy to catch up with you.
Even when you pumpfake and the D bites and jumps ,its much easier to get by without turbo.Sometimes with turbo on ,i seem stuck to people in the air.Lol

dope video and a lot of move variety...

Jersez have you explored some of the uses of slightly feathering the stick when driving or giving passing directions?

I seem to find new kind of animations by pushing hard one way(to get the defender in momentum) and feathering the stick to different direction while i press the right stick in driving moves or when i want to pass out to an open angle...All of course in regards to your distance from the opponent.If you are too away or too close it doesn't work as much.

Yes I discover new moves and combo's by experimenting with the stick, like that last move with kyrie. The dribbling system is very brilliant, Mike wang really added a lot for one year. If did a move or discovered a new moves, feel free to upload it I'm pretty sure it's moves I haven't discovered yet.

Wow using the Hezzy + behind the back launch on the wing is real nice. Going lateral to the basket off that combo opens up some different possibilities. I usually like to Iso up top but if I can incorporate that into an angle or corner pick and roll somehow...look out lol.

It really isn't that difficult. It just sounds cobfusing at first and feels like you're stuck. Press RT at the right time and you'll explode basically every time. The crossover launch needs more space so ill back up til the defender doesn't follow, size him up, and if he moves I can tap turbo and cross him over.

I still gotta work on the in and out(needs more space too) and clean up the spin a bit. Sometimes it throws in an extra move(idk maybe I'm hitting something else?)

Edit: I'm breaking D-Will's ankles on HoF with Pablo Prigioni on blacktop lol

Man sounds like you picked this up quite well! I must be slow because I'm still not comfortable with read & react, and Jersez has explained it quite well. I might just need to go in to practice mode and get after it.

It definitely feels a bit easier on blacktop. But either way I'm launching every time. You just have to pull off a sizeup or a string of moves and wait for him to bite. You have to be patient. I don't get the defender on every move. On blacktop, I can get the defender just about every time but in regular games the defenders seem more disciplined.

Try using a anklebreaker, turn the difficulty settings down and turn on ball defense down for the cpu, also lowering game speed may help as well. Let me know if that helped.

Use Derrick Rose. He is the easiest to use - he turns the corner on everybody.
