Most fun - 2K5. Was young then and played online before I knew what cheese was.
Lease fun - I guess it would have to be 2K13. I like it, but just too many issues.EPL - Arsenal
MLB - Seattle Mariners
NBA - Cleveland Cavaliers
NFL - Philadelphia Eagles
MLS - Seattle Sounders

Re: Which 2K did you have the most fun with and which did you have the least with?
Most fun was with NBA 2K10 only because me and a couple buddies created our own teams full of caps and played against each other all the time plus it was the introduction to my player and had the draft combine. 2K12 although a good game overall i had the least fun with it other than creating draft classes the armpit blocks and such let me down gameplay wise"I'm so lonely....I paid a hobo to spoon with me"Comment

Re: Which 2K did you have the most fun with and which did you have the least with?
most fun: 2k11. passing was great in 2k11. quick, accurate passes, no senseless bobbled catches. pass animations were super fast (none of that crap where players switched to the opposite hand to pass for no reason). in 2k11, if you switched the ball to a different hand, you knew your player would pass with that hand. this allowed you to better control your passes. now, it's kind of unpredictable what your player will do when you hit the pass button. in 2k11, off-ball teammates cut to the hoop when appropriate. all of these things made improvising on offense a blast because you could move the ball so crisply.
least fun: 2k12. i actually traded in 2k12 about 1 or 2 months after buying it. that's how frustrating it was. dribbling was slow and unresponsive, layup animations were terrible and dunk animations had slow gathers which resulted in your dunks getting blocked constantly. nothing was responsive in that game...everything just moved so slow in that game, it was like the game was fighting against you. out of boredom i repurchased 2k12 a few months after trading it in...but i only played it so i could record videos to point out its flaws.
2k13 is overall a better game than 2k11, but i don't know if i could say it's as enjoyable. there are some frustrating aspects of 2k13 that still hold it back (still some wonky passing issues, excessive bobbled catches, too many contested/contact shots going in).Last edited by blues rocker; 08-09-2013, 02:39 PM.Comment

Re: Which 2K did you have the most fun with and which did you have the least with?
2k11 was the best
2k12 > 2k13 with changed sliders and without them
I play with incredibly reduced sliders in 13 and can still run down the court and drain contested 3's with Klay Thompson and Curry
I don't even play online because its at Superstar default. I'd imagine people wouldn't miss with those playersComment

I actually liked the dribbling in 2k12 once you learned all the moves, there were so many moves that weren't even in the manual or training camp, and of course you learn how to read the defender dribbling was fun, fun not in a cheese way but comboing moves and the pull up system was fun.Comment

afthere would a few decent things about the dribbling in 2k12, but too many of the animations were long and unbreakable, so you ended up getting stuck in an animation and couldn't interrupt it. this made the dribbling feel slow and delayed. 2k13 has fixed that and i'm now much happier with 2k13's dribbling responsiveness compared to 2k12.it seems more like streetball now.

af
only good thing about 2k13 dribbling is its simple. Overall its a step back in the functionally realm due to how limited it is compared to older versions but hey people didn't want to memorize dribble moves, they wanted to move the stick in random directions to make pretty dribble animations.it seems more like streetball now.

Re: Which 2K did you have the most fun with and which did you have the least with?
This year was the best for so many reasons and the worstfor a lot of other reasons. Dribbling, shooting, and even the dunk and layup animations are all really cool when they work. But there's way too much morphing and sluggish animations that detract from the progress they DID make. Plus, the momentum factor the last 2 years has been out of controlComment

Re: Which 2K did you have the most fun with and which did you have the least with?
I've had a good experience with every 2k game I've played. I don't play online often that's probably why. This Gen, I didn't get a PS3 till 2008, so I started with 2k9. My favorite this gen was 2k11. Great game!!!!
My least favorite was 2k12. That game was a step back in regards to the pass and catch animations. The CPU always pump faking and the unstoppable up and under from the CPU. The layup animations weren't great. The live ball was inconsistent. Blocking shots with you shoulders, head, and elbow wasn't a good look. That game seem to slide more than other games.
2k13 improved a little bit (and I mean "a little") when it comes to passing and sliding. It's overall a better game than 2k12. What 2k12 did right was having the legends mode. That was awesome. Plus they had Kareem, Dr. J, and chris webber. Playing with the 87 lakers was cool. But the gameplay made the game least enjoyable for me.
Edit: Forgot to mention the AI leaving shooters/their man for no reason in 2k12.Last edited by magicman32; 08-09-2013, 04:50 PM.Comment

I think 2k13 is the least fun other than the fact that it doesn't replicate basketball, I just feel like the cpu doesn't play like the actual player or team, 2k11 was the best at that, players played like themselves. The cpu has a cheeser mentality they know how stop in the middle of an animation and go right into another animation. While the defender is still stuck in the canned-animation so it's like how do you expect anyone to defend that? I don't know why the offensive player can break out of animations but the defender can't. The cpu seems to exploit the ability to break out of animations so bad it just makes the game look and feel ugly.Last edited by jersez; 08-09-2013, 04:55 PM.ARE YOU LOOKING FOR YOUTUBE CHANNELS DEDICATED TO THE SIM COMMUNITY CLICK THE LINKS BELOW, AND SUBSCRIBE FOR ALL SIM CONTENT.
