First off, we don't know what Path To Greatness is all about

Second, you get bonus content from Pre ordering, not the entire mode (which is coming as a regular mode)

The only stupid 3R335 theory IMO, is 3rd Ring in 335 days. by then its July 2014 (going on the announcement date) and its superficial to say LeBron is gonna get the ring by then. Cause its odds instead of fact.

Oh alright the way I understood it was you had to pre order the game to get the mode but your right my bad. Still dont think they would use a code to talk about this mode as people already know its coming. But who knows we could all be wrong

Pretty much one of the worst arguments of all-time. I know its a novel concept and all, but there are different levels of cheating, and exploitability. To just group every online game together is just really, really, really stupid.

It might not have 7'6" PGs, but I'm sure a nice community of guys will render it unplayable. My only real hope for Crew not sucking complete *** is that 2k catches the guys like that and gets rid of them quickly.

          Speak for yourself.

Some of us just don't waste time with online because it's full of scrubs and don't wish to play game modes that are littered with them.

You know how adding features/improve works? It's gonna effect the focus other modes. Look at Association, a lot people complain the Logic, how much Overall is still effects trades, and a lot of things, and this has been going since 2K10 introduced myPlayer/myCareer/Crew.

You have to realize, some people do care about the offline experience, the replay ability of a video game. You know why a lot of sports games end up in Gamestops all over America? Cause they didn't have anything worth while to still play that. That's why past 2Ks is still loved here, for the rosters, gameplay, etc.

Sports games really aren't supposed to have that replay ability thats why theres a new game each year. You cant recreate the way a GM would actually think into a game because each person has a different vision on how to build a team. Its just not possible imo. While alot of people do enjoy playing against the computer in todays gaming culture its not what sells. They have to do things that will sell the game for them and thats what crew mode is. They know that if they leave it out of the game and Live picks it up (which i think ive heard they have something similar not positive) there sales would take a huge hit. Theyll never please everyone so they have to do whats good for the company and sell the title. Crew will have more of an ability to do this. I get that you dont like it but reality is online gaming is much more prominent than offline.

Actually the reason why there's sports game every year is because of contracts requiring them to make one every year. That's why 2K had to make WWE 2K14 off the same engine were THQ left off.

And yes, you can recreate how GMs think in a game. If people have different visions, 2k can built a new logic system where the CPU decides on a plan based of their roster. (Knicks: Win now, Rockets: Assets for future, Bucks: Rebuild, etc.) I recall that idea has been in baseball games and other sports games already.

I personally don't care what any crew fan/anti fan tells me, I still believe Crew is a good mode to have, but a crew fanatic shouldn't bark out a man for saying, "Crew isn't important to me, online sucks" and the fanatic tells him that Crew doesn't effect him without knowing it does. Crew is a domino effect of positive and negative, like every mode.

I don't know how adding features/improvement works or even how their dev teams are setup. But I believe if 2K wanted to add Crew and improve Association, they could. I see it as somewhat selfish to wish other portions of the game doesn't get improved on, or a whole new mode added that is one of the most requested modes on 2K.

Like the guy was saying, if you don't like Crew or Online, don't play it. I don't really mess with Online Leagues or myTeam, but I wouldn't hope it wasn't in the game or never got things worked on because I know a lot of people enjoy that mode.

Crew isn't guaranteed, but if its in and that person doesn't like the improvements 2K made to Association and it means that much to them since that's all they play, don't purchase it. Maybe look into EAs game.

Not going at you, Marv, just quoted your response. The response is to people that just doesn't want the mode in. Like just don't play it.

Im not barking at you lol im just telling you how the company is thinking. Idc if crews in the game or not because while im at school i wont be playing it. But the way that i look at all this is in a way that im the one selling the game. Looking at it through that scope its clear to me that association will always have the backseat. Thats the main point Ive been trying to make.

But the logic system that you were talking about IMO wouldn't work. The Show which many people consider to be the best sports video game and the deepest has the same problems. If you tie a GM to rebuilding logic at what point does he stop rebuilding because there will always be an opportunity to get a better young player? At what point does a win now team stay where they are and try and improve next season without making moves? When a teams collecting assets are they going to trade there 25 year old asset for the 19 year old who's 3 or 4 years away just to reset the team and then do it all over when he's 25? Just putting a style on the GM like that wouldn't work IMO because it would be a continuous cycle. I just dont think a GMs actual thoughts could be replicated

Now do I hope association is improved? Yes because at school thats what id be playing and currently I cant play against the computer i have 0 interest.

But like I said im not trying to argue with you just looking at it unbiased and thinking "What will sell the game?" and I just don't think association will sell the game

This wasn't an announcement, it was a small tease about an upcoming announcement that the vast majority who buy this game didn't even see.
Not all people who are fans of the series follow the 2K people on twitter or check forums everyday.

This was just a sneak peak for us hardcore fans that check for news everyday, so we're preveliged to even get this tease if no.

Good points Kyoto I guess what I was trying to say got across wrong. I just dont really see them doing all this to hype something that people already know is in the game. If they were to announce on Monday that #3R335 has something to do with Path To Greatness I think it would be a big disappointment to people because they got worked up over something they already knew was in the game. How many people have you really seen questioning what Path to Greatness is? I don't think this is the draw 2k is looking for. Personally I dont know anyone whos ever played Create a Legend or even the Jordan mode. Im sure theres a big audience for it but I dont think this mode is something there going to go out of their way to hype. But hey thats just me thinking about whats best for them to sell the game and could be completely wrong.

The NBA was probably more layed back in terms of that because they can still rely on 2K and the fact that EA still has to pay them since they were still developing NBA Live [insert year for release]
