We already knew that, although the Crew or Phil Jackson part hasn't been confirmed and the Phil Jackson mode thingy is probably not it.

Guess the only new info there was that 2K3335 is 2K14, but it doesn't really help.

I would be ecstatic if it ended up as CB2K14, but they probably would've revealed that a while back.

Well idk but 2k3335 is just 2k14. 3+3+3+5=14...basic numerology.

The feeling of saying "I'm right." We're not gonna be famous. It's just a game. I already have credit on a lot of theories so...

But when 2k ,a company that used to play it low, focused on gameplay and was coming up as the humble, down to earth force to take over, is now reverting to riddles and puzzles every now and then ,to keep the fan base occupied and excited about a game months from release, it somehow makes me think that the decision making people have given the green light for compromise.
You are SO right about this aspect. It's crazy. But I understand it. Think about it. Their position has changed. They got no attention before. Even if they did hype something up, no one paid attention. Now, they are the leader in the genre. They've grown and now they have to manage all that comes with it. So, when July hits, thousands of people are banging on their doors for information. If they come soft, they get criticized. If they come strong, they get criticized. There is a balance that no one has mastered or every will when you're dealing with that large of an audience.

Actually that route is connected in my mind like this:Viral marketing campaign(and pretty clever at that also)->Focus on stars(Lebron) and their own game mode->Focus on myplayer and new ways to convince people to buy vc->Neglect other game modes that are not casual friendly->Eventually make it easier for the cheese crowds.
This is where I think you break off a little. There is no connection between one or the other. Again, it's marketing versus development. What does JayZ have to do with Rob Jones and Mike Wang's job? Very little to nothing. I don't see how the marketing tactics drives what they work on. You have to disassociate the 2. Even if they made some huge change to gameplay, marketing may not feel it's work hyping. This is VERY common with all game companies. Marketing looks at what the devs are doing, and picks the pieces that they feel will garner the most attention.

So yes maybe i'm stupid for making this connection ,but consider the message for a while and disregard the messenger.
I REALLY don't mean to call you "stupid". I'm just saying that complaining about marketing department doing what they can to get the most people talking about their product is pointless because that's their job.
