Those venues can get that, I've modified roster files, the game can give Rucker Park, Summer League, Practice Court, crowd noise.

How about just scrapping the whole game and just go watch actual games in actual arenas? Real life is pretty realistic so what's the point of playing the game anyway? /idiotic logic

You're missing the point and not even give anything to me.

There's many courts not in use that's hidden in the game, and they can be used as a setting for Crew and I've seen many game with rules not in a 15,000+ Arena. Its perfectly fine to me if 5 v 5 is a regular team up game with myPlayers in a Summer Circuit/Rucker Park Atmosphere, like how NBA Superstars play with each other sometimes like Drew League or EBC.

Actually, there would be a crowd, if the place has a capacity/attendance in place, people would show up. I've seen it, you can look at some roster mods.

I don't remember, but I think there is areas set in place for a dev/modder to give say, 9,000+ and see a couple rows. Its either that's the only one with no seats, or all of em can be set.

that doesn't even make sense. if they're gonna do all that, they could just put it in an arena.

Yeah. That's right. I'm tired. Its true though that its not hard to get an arena now thinking about it. (Kinda) Im just saying there's also some alternatives that can be suited fine.

MyCareer is inherently tied to Crew. You're even playing with the SAME player. But for some reason you're forced to play pickup ball if you want to run with your buddies. It's like if Lebron James was only allowed to form the Big 3 at Rucker.

Seems like you don't see the big deal because you don't actually care about the mode. It's the equivalent of a Ranked Match guy saying its fine if MyCareer turns into MyRecLeague.

In fact this would actually make both MyPlayer and MyCrew consistent and "realistic" if that is what you truly care about.
It's different because you are not emulating an NBA player's career in Crew, you are playing with your buddies. Blacktop, rec league gym, and such places makes more sense imho.

eh, screw that. my player is just a steppingstone to play in the league with all the prestige in my opinion, the cba(crew basketball association).

Imo, this is 2K14. We're at a point where realism and videogames go hand and hand.

If I played 5v5 blacktop pickup games back in 08, I would NOT complain...but in 2013 there should be no problems with having an arena packed with fans coming to watch MY player play. I wanna hear my NAME called, not a cheesy nickname. I wanna hear Steve Kerr's reaction when I hit a clutch 3 to tie the game in the 4th...you just can't get that on the blacktop. Do you actually think 2K will put commentary on blacktop? Doubt it...

Since there's leaderboards that should also mean they track our records, if it was in an arena imagine starting out with poor attendance at home, but once you get more wins the attendance picks up, people start wearing your jersey colors in the crowd, against tougher opponents you have games where the whole crowd is in a white out.
There could be endorsements on the side of your court that we choose (Jordan, Nike, Adidas, Gatorade, etc.). Get sponsored by a shoe company just like in my player, and you get stat boosts for the whole team. Cut scenes showing a promo for your team, just like in single player.

See what I don't understand, is how 4 years after Crews have been introduced, we still have this barebones mode that could go so far; even having tournaments and playoffs, whole seasons/associations within Crew.

Now I know I'm just nitpicking, but they put it out there like Crews in 2K14 was monumental. Far from it, let's see some groundbreaking features, not just minor tweaks, especially when like I said we're 4 years into Crew being introduced, and this year we're getting less of an experience then we did in 2K10, lol?
I don't wanna be Jordan, I don't wanna be Bird or Isiah, I don't wanna be any of those guys.
I want to look in the mirror and say I did it my way.

You're playing with other players who are also NBA players with their own Careers.

MyCrews used to be playing with your buddies in a pro-ball environment. If they can change that, there's no reason they can't change MyPlayer.

I say be consistent and just turn MyPlayer into MyRecLeague or MyAnd1MixTape.

I'm obviously kidding but imagine how you would feel having your favorite mode downgraded.

"It's different and more realistic" are irrelevant arguments and make no sense to justify the change. The only relevant realities are that 2K didn't want to spend the effort beyond upgrading blacktop, and changing it back to a full featured Crew mode would make the game better.

We should not make arbitrary excuses for the former and we should encourage the latter.

Looks like someone shares the same ideas/saw MY ideas on what to add for Crew.

IMO, this Crew is still being in Current Gen, if this was Next Gen, I would be concerned. That's the difference in terms of technology, its the same from 08 to 2013, but disk space being utilized well for everything now compared to figuring out what to have back then (ex Porting the PS2 version w/ adding 2K Share vs. building everything on the XBOX.) One thing that would've been cool is if they went the WWE way of things and have you combine all the possible audio like the name, "McCollum" would be "Mac" and "Collin" combined for the best possible name. Yeah it sounds robotic, but its better than "Number 3" or "Big Cat"

I do agree that marketing Crew at a point where the mode isn't close to finished is frustrating. It wasn't smart, but I will give 2K some chance to improve Crew for now because of the knowledge of them interacting with fans and have trying to make the game playable for everyone.

Next Crew news I see is PAX Prime around the end of August.

His point is that your in the NBA, biggest stage for basketball. And you're assigned to a NBA team to play for them, professionally and etc.

Now Crew is playing us playing with our friends like how some stars play with each other, like when the lockout happened and NBA players played in local Rec leagues or Internationally. That's how I see hes interpreting it.
