GTA is a Mature rated game. 2K is rated Everyone. He's trying to say that using Harlan's lines would affect the rating (and possibly hurt sales):


At worst, I don't see how it'd make the game any higher than Everyone 10+ (how many people under 10 are playing 2K, or have parents uptight enough to ban an E10 game?).

But I doubt ratings are the issue, considering people have actually heard "right between the eyes". And is this, or "no regard for human life" really any worse than some of the unedited stuff on the soundtrack:

"The feds hate me"

"He don't like me, hit him while wifey was with him"

"I'm ya mama's crib waiting ductaping your fam"

"*** step up, we just macin them, placin' them in funerals..."

"The Mobb comes equipped for warfare beware of my crime family"

"Ain't no such thing as half way crooks"

etc

That Biggie song was censored to point they should've just used the instrumental.

Didn't think about that at the moment. You're absolutely correct.

Still i think it's stupid since the context doesn't make you think of violence.
This is just one of the complaints I have about American censorship rules.
