Still no sign of that 'branching a move to a jumpshot'. Is that really a thing or is it just literally just doing a crossover and shooting right after?

I'am kinda anxious to see/read more about it because taking out escape dribble shots is a big thing.

Its the same as previous... its just a smoother transition now. Touched upon this in the new gameplay vid where everyone is saying jumpshots are too fast now.

Its not that they are 'faster' but that the transition from catch/dribble to shot is smoother, I guess one could say the resulting effect would be a overall faster shot.

During gameplay, I had no problems pulling up, shooting off the dribble, stepbacks, etc... my biggest problem was pressing LT. Other than that it was just smoother, hard to describe with words, less time 'fighting' the game so to speak to get what you want (to shoot).

I'm assuming you can basically create your own space creating shots instead of just double flicking the right stick or double tapping B for those who used the buttons, am I right ?

B is mapped to pick n roll iirc, so no more b tappers... also its still kinda flick flick, but flick for dribble, then flick-hold for shot. if that makes sense.

Yea it makes complete sense. I like how that sounds and I know it feels way better/smoother.

I'm just imaging all the different type of shot types you can pull off if your creative enough

Jay did you ask if they also took it out as a control option? What I do like about 2k is that they give you options for controls and the spin button as B should be completely taken out even in the options section.

Did not specifcally, I recall something about alternate controls would still be available but that's about it.

Im not all that impressed with this mode or anything, and agree that 2k needs to step up their game with Online Stability and CPU team management in AM.....but find the claims about Madden 25 being more innovative and the better offline experience ridiculous. Not only do they have that game setup like crap out of the box, EA also doesn't give many if any effective tools to fix/customize your franchise experience. The Sliders and Tendency systems in that game are a joke.



If you want to point to a sports games franchise mode that 2k needs to raise their level to, then I would suggest The Show

Please no. The Show's franchise mode needs as big of an overhaul as 2K basketball does. I won't go into details as to why, because every veteran of The Show series knows what a mess Franchise mode ends up being a few years in, but that is NOT one game I would like for 2K to look for guidance in their association mode.

In fact, I can't think of one game that has delivered a truly good franchise/association/dynasty mode on this gen of consoles. It's depressing to think about.
