Since I'll be working tuesday and won't be able to play until the evening, I get to sit at work and think about what I wanna do, and how I wanna do it. I usually stick to MyPlayer mode, so i will probably continue that this year. I'm not a fan of MyTeam mode really, and the new Lebron mode just looks like a waste of time. (When will they learn that it's not new features people seem to want. It's the current features being fixed.:\)

Anyway, since the MyPlayer customization options seem to not have been updated or changed much, I assume my player will look exactly as he did last year. I just need to figure out what I want to do. Do I...

a.) create a character then play the rookie showcase until I get picked to the perfect fit team

b.) create my character and then just go with the flow

a.) takes forever sometimes and b.) can just be crappy as hell sometimes.

I'm thinking about making a SG first. Possibly Scoring or Athletic. Sort of a "Baby Kobe" type of player. A guy who people think is the next big thing. I also might make a Center or PF. They're both super fun to play. I would prefer to be put on a team that could actually use my position though. I'd be pissed to make a Center then get drafted to the Rockets. Give me a team that NEEDS a Center. So maybe it's not so unrealistic when i become a starter after less than 10 games.:P

Tomorrow I'll be looking at current rosters to figure out which teams can really use certain positions. I also need to look at the draft results. It'd be fun to be on a bad team, but I also don't want to play the Rookie Showcase a million times trying to get top 3 pick.

Play a couple of games against the cpu to get a feel for the game etc. Then like I do every season, get into the editing side of the game and edit edit edit the ratings and tendencies to improve the game for single player modes and gameplay.
