Drafted by the Clippers as a SF. Record like 31-12. Im averaging 30 ppg 6 rpg and like 2.8 apg. Probably going to get ROY. I made my guy able to hit the 3 well, but unable to hit the mid range consistently. It's been fun, chucking up shots on all star sim. I plan on signing with the Lakers when contract is up. I'm a 80 overall and have finisher, shot creator, and the Gatorade pack because you only get subbed once still.

Hopefully by the time my contract is up with UTA, and I've won 2-4 championships with my 6'6" 230lb All-Around SG the NYK have enough cap space to sign me, so I can help NY to a bunch of titles . I'm too good to get traded there now, but I'm fine here on UTA for the time being.



On another note, I'm almost at all-star break in my rookie season, and I qualify for everything in all-star weekend😎. I'll try to win everything.

Im playin on PS3 my career Athletic PG. Cant get assist cuz nobody wants to shoot open jumper even when i give them command with square.

Why my teammates wont obey my commands???

I cannot create a thread yet and I have over 5 posts. Where is the forum rules so I can read them?

Anyway, does anyone know how to freestyle practice with My Career Player? I know you can use custom rosters so maybe there is a way to add him to a custom roster and do it that way?

I want to experiment with dunk animations and shot styles. This oversight is mind boggling.

Just had my best game yet!!!

On my 5'7" 145lb PG for the Bucks, we were playing the Jazz and after the first half I had 16 points and 3 assists and 2 steals. I had just been given 30 minutes per game so I knew I had to keep pushing for the starting spot. I also knew 30 points was very attainable. The entire game I actually was driving and attacking the basket, as opposed to taking jump shots only. I got to the line plenty of times so I think I will start driving more and improving my shot close.

I had actually gotten a double-double the previous game but with how close this game against the Jazz was, I knew I had to take over.

Got to 28 points, 5 assists, and 2 steals. It was 98-97, Jazz leading at home with about 12 seconds to go. I think Burke missed a jumpshot and I actually grabbed the rebound. Coach called a time-out obviously. I was praying I wouldn't be taken out since I was hot and had scored 8 points in the past 2 or so minutes. Mayo got the in-bounds pass (even though I was open and called for it) so I kept spamming for the pass because I wanted to be the one to shoot the last shot.

Didn't get a good look off of the pass so I dribbled up past the 3 pt line on the right wing. Sized up Burke for a couple seconds then took the jumper... SWISH!!! I put us up 99-98 with about a second to go. They called timeout and then inbounds to Burke, with my hand in his face he forces up a deep 3 and it bricks, we WON!!!

My previous career-high was 23 points and I had never reached a teammate grade of A- until that last second shot! I had missed a couple potential game-winners in the past so it felt so good to finally come through for my team. Wish I could have dished the ball more (my teammates miss easy layups..) but I KNEW I had to take over the game to win it.

I was given player of the game for the first time ever and got a bunch of VC, but the most important thing... my minutes were bumped up to 34 and I became the STARTER!!! I like Brandon Knight but I'm so glad to be in the starting lineup.

Bucks are on a 3 game winning streak, winning 7 of our last 10. Currently sitting at 17-15. I love it! Fear the Deer!

God, 2ks customer service/support sucks. I contacted them 3 days ago about getting the 250K+ VC I lost due to the game/servers f'ing up two careers on me and I still haven't gotten so much as a peep from them; I checked and my request still hasn't even been assigned to a rep yet.

Ok sooo..I just finished the 3pt contest and dunk competition, tried to start the all-star game, and I the season just simulated to the end, so now we're in the playoffs. Same seed we were in at the all-star break, same stats...I don't know what's going on, but I'll continue on.

So I posted 2 posts ago about how I had my career game and became a starter for the Bucks. Well, it turns out I spoke too soon. I started the next game (against the Suns) thinking I was going to be starting. It turns out the game lied to me and even though I'd checked before the game and saw that I was getting 34 minutes as a starter and Knight was getting 13 off of the bench, Knight got the start...

We lost against the Suns (who have the worst record) and I only had 12 pts, 6 ast, 2 reb. I once again was on the bench against the Warriors who killed us. I was able to get 26 pts 9 ast in garbage time. Then, at home against the Bulls led by Rose, I was once again off the bench but got 25 pts 11 ast 3 stls. We got the W which was the most important thing, snapping the 3 game losing streak. Then I OFFICIALLY became the starter (the achievement popped up).

Of course, my first game as a starter was a key game against the Thunder (me vs. Westbrook). We controlled the game since the beginning. I was hot in the 1st quarter with 12 pts and 6 asts. We played great team basketball with me leading the offense. Even when I was on the bench we kept up with them.

In the 4th quarter they eventually tied the game at 100 apiece with 10 seconds left and we were about to inbound it. I knew even though I call for the ball that I wasn't going to get it. Sure enough, OJ Mayo got the pass and even though I was calling for the ball like crazy he insisted on keeping it. Keep it mind he went 2 for 11 from the field at the end of the game... He never passed it and posted up against Jeremy Lamb and obviously missed the awkward shot.

In OT I experienced the dreaded "benched even though I had a monster game". I was put in the game with about 1:40 left in OT and we were down 7... Thanks.. Willed us to within 4 but there was just not enough time left.

I finished with only 26 minutes played. Had 24 pts 11 ast 1 reb 2 stls 1blk. I had trouble defending Westbrook, he's way too fast and on a whole different level, plus he has probably 8 inches on me haha.

Very disappointing loss to say the least. Yeah, I did well in my first game as a starter, but that game was ours. Guess I need to earn trust for those clutch situations...

I dunked from the free throw line in game
Few days ago I had purchased the "Historic Jordan" dunk package and equipped it but this was the first time it happened. I had a defender trailing so I decided to try activate a dunk animation from near the FT line, thinking my player would go in the "take 1-2 steps and one hand it" but he just took off from the line (foot was slightly inside), my jaw dropped to the floor as he elevated and took a 2-second flight all the way to the rim. Spectacular.

Well we have now gone 15-6 and both the Thunder and the Rockets have shot above us to take 1 and 2 seeds. The Clippers are basically tied with us and like us, they have gone 6-4 in the last 10...

My Spurs are now 22-7 with a 2 game win streak going. We just beat the Raptors in triple-overtime and the Gatorade skill really showed its worth as in each overtime, my guy's fatigue was better than his matchup's.

While my Spurs are trying their best to be like the real team, some things just frustrate me beyond words. As an example, rebounds. We'll get 45-56 defensive rebounds a game but only 5-7 offensive rebounds.

This may be the year I don't even finish one season; with all the trouble people are having once they hit the all-star break I just dread what will happen when I do.

@sleepyshotta - sorry to hear you got hit by the bug. This sort of thing is something that just should not happen, even on a yearly release like this. Hopefully, 2k will patch CG but it looks to me like they won't be. idk.

@nova91 - I have never had a good experience with 2k's customer service. Good luck on getting things resolved.

@sops - That is great you got it to fire. I still can't get any package dunks to fire; I get the under the rim slams to fire but never things like the Jordan package.

@No Way Andre - Playing on a rebuilding team can be a lot of fun. The rotations and substitutions done by the ai is really screwy - as I said before, sometimes I force a substitution by intentionally fouling when my guy starts getting fatigued. Time those forced substitutions right and you should get to be out on the floor closing games. Also, the first game as a starter is a tricky thing it seems. I even had the reporters ask me once about how I liked starting before I even did that. I was confused, thinking I somehow simmed a game. But the career ai just is screwy at times and does things weird.

by doing the training camps do they increase the attribute caps if i do them at the end when i'm like a point away,

if not i will just do them now to increase my player attributes now like i usually do.
