Re: NBA 2K14 Official MyCAREER Thread
Not sure where to ask this without creating a thread.. But what were the games which you started off playing tournaments in my player and made your way to the NBA. I'm confused if that was an old 2k thing or if it was the NBA street gamesComment

Does anyone use Pick Pocket signature skill? How effective is it? How often do you get called for a foul? Is it better/more effective then Interceptor is?Comment

Re: NBA 2K14 Official MyCAREER Thread
In the past 10 games or so I've been averaging nearly a double-double with my 5'7" PG. About 22ppg and 9apg, and also nearly 2spg.
This is all mostly since I had my breakout game and was finally given the starting spot. You could say I'm having loads of fun in MyCareer right now! It was rough at the beginning but I put in the hard work and was given my chance to shine. So for anyone struggling right now, just know I was there with you. Gotta keep grinding!

Best jumpshot formula for a 6'10 SF? Hard finding perfect release on any jumpshot the mechanics are different in height.Comment

Re: NBA 2K14 Official MyCAREER Thread
in my ALL Round PF/C i didn't get the start lineup until maybe last 10 games which is good. i simmed most of 1st season and only played few key games.
I was hoping i wouldn't crack starting lineup until next year b/c all VC went into physical attributes and hands.
Next is going free throw and two sig skills in year two other than that i'm once physical attributes are max i'm move on to defense than mental last offense.
Want to bring my man along slow.
On the suns think i might stick with them for a while they have an Ok squad idk how it will look in year 2. wish they would let my back up center get some PT over Omeka. Told GM he needs playing time along with trying to get Morris twins PT as possible since they both rated higher over me. Mostly the one who plays SF since my only SF is rated below him but he is starting b/c he is only True SF.
If i do switch teams it might be to Knicks since I plan on purchasing orange adidas gear to add to black gear so I can swap in and out.Comment

Re: NBA 2K14 Official MyCAREER Thread
If u want to have your guy sub in/out regularly keep stamina low at least for Big men.
Not playing heavy minutes with maybe one sub or two with one being for like few seconds.
If i start playing heavy minutes i will increase stamina. until than its 65/85 don't need heavy minutes not at least until my physical and 1 more category is maxed out or closed to
Playing on being back to basket player but i picked all around so where i can have some sort of athleticism for a 6'11 guy.Comment

Re: NBA 2K14 Official MyCAREER Thread
My player is a 6'7 SF for the Blazers. I'm only averaging something like 10-4-3 in a sixth man role. 70 overall. I like to balance everything out, so I'm not amazing at one particular thing. That's why I score on a limited basis. But my averages should be going way up. I've averaged almost 20 PPG over the last five games. Scored between 20-23 points in four of my last five games. Only had 11 against LeBron and the Heat, though.Comment

Which lay up package draws the most fouls without being blockable? I'm a 6'10 athletic SF. I drive to the hole a lot like Lebron (my layup package is the basic SWING) but I'm looking to purchase something easier to finish with nd draw lots of contact without being blockedComment

We had a game at San Antonio. It was a pretty big matchup because my team, the Bucks, are pretty hot right now and my PG was going up against Tony Parker. It was a pretty close low-scoring game the entire time, which was expected since it was the Spurs. My stat weren't that great (13 pts, 8 assists, 2 rebs for a 5'7" PG).
After resting I was put into the game with about 2 minutes and a half left in the game, down 76-84. We cut into the lead and after a Spurs miss, I took the ball up the court with about 26 seconds left. I was thinking to just take it slow, set up a screen and get a good look. I got double teamed and passed it off to Mayo. I immediately started calling for it again but he passed it to Larry Sanders instead. Sanders turned the ball over! I couldn't believe it. Every time I trust my teammates they let me down in the clutch. I fouled Tony Parker with about 6 seconds left. He drains both free throws, as expected.
We called our last timeout and I got the in-bounds pass. I knew I needed to take a quick 3 to even have a shot; I knew it had to be me to take the shot otherwise I would get pissed at my teammates.
Imma just post this terrible quality picture of my TV that I took with my iPhone...
BANG!!! All net! With probably 2 seconds remaining! I couldn't believe it. That was a DEEP three. My 3-pt shooting is up to a 90 so I knew it had a chance, but boy did it feel good. Game wasn't over, not by a long shot. Still down 87-88 and we had to quickly foul the Spurs. They had no time outs left so naturally, on the ensuing in-bounds pass...
STOLEN BY OJ MAYO! He and I were playing extremely tight on Ginobili and Parker. You can see Ginobili had his back turned to Kawhi Leonard, who had to force the pass since they had no time outs. Mayo layed it in for the win!!!
By far the most exciting game I've had so far. It was just an awesome team win and very hard fought. The steal was tremendous by Mayo but all the reporters wanted to talk about was my deep 3
PS: That ball of light is indeed the flash on my phone haha. I was in a hurry and couldn't retake the picture before I had to leave.

Re: NBA 2K14 Official MyCAREER Thread
I have a serious love-hate relationship with this game mode. Sometimes I love playing it, sometimes I feel like smashing it to a million pieces with a sledgehammer. Right now I'm looking for a sledgehammer. What irritates me the most is the fact that I'm an elite allstar point guard with a 96 overall rating, yet I 'Lose The Ball' at least 5 times a game. And its not just me. The best ballhandlers like CP3 and Kyrie lose the ball a lot too. I watch a lot of NBA games and I gotta say even average point guards dont lose the ball at such a ridiculous rate, let alone elite point guards. This needs to be fixed.Comment

Created Hakeem Neal, 6'10 250 Athletic SF Freshman out of Stanford. Drafted to the Blazers. I'm 82 OVR but still 6th man, 28 min /game. Averaging 30/6/5 with 12 minute quarters, HOF difficulty.Fan of:
