So it's a close game, 4th quarter, like 1:50 to go, up by 3, and my coach SUBS ME OUT FOR THE REST OF THE GAME AND WE LOSE BY 2 POINTS.

WTF was that ****? I immediately went and asked to get my coach fired even though it wont mean anything lol.

Is there ever a good reason to create a center when the stat caps of a power forward is always higher?

The only advantage I see is you can make a center 7'2.

Only create a center if you're prepared to watch your team suck through the season.

Next year I think I'll play pg and go for John Stockton's all-time assist and steal records.

I'll also make a C. Just because I think I'll be able to dominate the park, and rec center from watching the gameplay twitch steam they aired the other day.

why can't my player dunk?????, my dunk ratings are 6 and my vertical is as high as it gets. My 6'6 sg will only lay it up

The only advantage I see is you can make a center 7'2.

There is a glitch in the game with 7'2 centers, they apparently are so tall that they can't rebound! If you are going to make a center/pf just make a 6'10 6'11 one and you can rebound like a madman

I'm having trouble with MyCareer. The "I'm tired of losing" option doesn't work. Every time I try it, the coach says "just keep at it and always ask yourself what can you do to make this team better". I don't know why

I'm fairly new to My Career. A couple questions I have (PS3 if that matters). I'm grabbing an old thread since it makes sense for my question.

1) The special skills, is it better to go for those quickly or wait until you have maxed out ratings? Or is it more of a case where you want to get your ratings up somewhat at the start and then start getting specialty skills?

For instance, I'm a 3 Pt Small forward. Would it have been better to keep increasing my 3 PT ratings or would it have been better to buy Deadeye and Catch and Shoot quickly? What about Level 2/3 of the skills (max them out as quick as possible)?

2) Training with the legends. Do they refresh every so often or is it do it once and you're done for the whole career?

So if I train with Larry Bird in Season 1, am I done training with him for the whole My Career?

3) 2k14 specific - It looks like I'm out of luck to get all the character customizations (apparel, etc) since this is such an old game?

This will be a blast fr the future,since it's 2021 now!
I played mycareer on -13/-14/15 then switched over to myleague on nba2k16 and have been playing that since!

I grew tired of arcadish gameplay and pretty scripted games,plus each year the story got cheesier and cheesier.
Plus,love the myleague where I can control everything ,sliders etc.

But I still have 14 and I decided to play a mycareer on it now,to have fun,not chase VC,which I bet is the only reason people play it nowadays!
I'm pretty stunned on how good the gameplay is,in fact being able to chose game speed and SIM/normal gameplay is really making this game stand out, also,this game has some great physics,players colliding instead of bouncing of each other like pinballs.

Really a stand out game,plus it looks really gorgeous!

I'm a die hard classic and was stuck on 2k14 forever mainly due to using Vlad's editor in creating retro teams. I might have to revisit the game again as I've evolved in now being stuck on 2k20.
