my 66 rated SG/SF Ranks amongst top 25 players in NBA. My NBA rank is 20th and the game is on Superstar/sim. I'm top 5 at my position. I finally get to start my first game geez took long enough.

I think a lot of people forget that 2K14 is meant to be a Basketball simulation game, so if you're playing a MyCareer mode why would you want to play less games than a regulation season (especially when you have the option to only play 'Key Games' anyway... But for me the fun of it is playing every game, improving your player to be better and better each few games (with VC) and also don't play like an idiot and exploit the game haha, I like to play properly so that all the stats, season averages etc at the end of the season will be more comparable to a real life season in the NBA that way

PG - currently 6-8 with Minnesota. 6th man getting 26 minutes a game. averaging 7 pts, 7 ast and 1 stl a game.

C - started a new guy last night, 7 foot defensive center. Got drafted by the Thunder (not sure which pick that was), currently 7-0. After two games I was the 6th man. On the sixth game I was moved into the starting position. Getting 28 minutes a game. Averaging 11 pts, 8 reb, 3 ast and 4 blk a game. Might ask to be traded though, not sure. I don't think I like being on a team that is so good right out the gates. Playing for a title in my rookie year just doesn't right.

Really liking the center so far. More my style of play. I usually do PFs in My player, but starting last year I made a PG. Which to me was more fun in last years game. Not enjoying being a PG in this game as much.

Also when I created my dude, I used the auto rolled name, because it struck me as a good name. Earl Simpson.

EDIT: forgot to add I bought the Brick Wall signature skill for my center. That thing is crazy over powered. I had to remove it. 9 out of 10 screens I set, the dude would just fall to the floor. And the guy I set the screen for scored every time. The other time he would be stuck on me so long that the guy I set the screen for would be so wide open that the defense would rotate, leaving someone wide open for the score. So 100% scoring from an overpowered sig skill.

I don't have the game yet. My Career is the main thing I play in NBA 2K13 and still have multiple careers to finish a year because I got started so late on that game. With the next gen around the corner, is My Career better than 13?

If you are going to for sure 100% be buying it on next gen, I would say wait for that version. Its only 6 weeks away.

How do I get assists as a PG? I play PG but never get assists unless someone is wide open because my teammates always pass the ball away instead of shooting if I give them the ball.

Screw this mode...The CPU teammates are to damn stupid and keep sagging of great 3pt shooters. I have to do all the work on offense because my teammates shoot nothing but 3s and miss close inside shots. It needs patched badly no reason for the CPU to be this dumb.

A few tips...

1. Hit teammates while they're cutting to the basket
2. Hit teammates on the break
3. Run alot of pick n rolls
4. On XBOX if you press the X button when a teammate has the ball they will shoot it or at least attempt to get to the basket before they pass

After five games, me and the Timberwolves are sitting at 2-3 but we've played some tough teams to start off. ...Also, am I the only person that finds it hard to get assists? I'm a PG and I'm only averaging 3 APG so far.

I am running a PG on the Timberwolves as well. My team record was 3-2 at the 5 game mark and is now 5-2. (We had an overtime win against the Lakers and a surprise win against OKL who were dealing with injuries.

Right now, I am the 6th man at 31 minutes and I am only averaging 1.6 assists per game. Then again I am being put into the SG position for the majority of my time and in the Timberwolve's playbook that means catch and shoot situations.

Speaking of which - if you are looking for assists there is two ways of approaching getting them in this system - by dumping it inside to one of the bigs or by hitting one of the perimeter playersin the corners for a 3.

If you dump it inside, you should wait until the shot-clock is low, otherwise they will attempt to pass it to an open 3-shooter. With one of the 3-pt specialists, I prefer giving it to Martin then to Budinger and then to Love (if he migrated out). Martin pulls the trigger the most followed by Budinger followed by Love... everyone else, in my experience (been playing with the Wolves since 2k11) is hit and miss. Especially Brewer who it seems tries to do the opposite of what I want him to do.

The new guy Mohhammad(sp) is about 50/50 but he only plays 8 minutes right now.

Anyways back on topic - the Wolves run a modified Triangle type of offense with the corner threes being the outlet pass and Love is supposed to be the floor stretcher. This year love has trouble transitioning from the paint to the arc and back again - teams are more likely to key on him. So if you want to use him more, you are going to have to draw double teams to yourself and get him open that way more.

I am really enjoying the Wolves this year.

Question to everyone: Which teams do you recommend for Centers. I am thinking of making a second guy as a Center but I don't Know this year's draft class very well and I'm not sure which teams to aim for. I don't want a total rebuild - I'd rather be on a team that is just missing one piece.

Is it even possible to get drafted by the Magic ? Had like 33 pts, 3 assts, 8 rebs, 3 stls and 2 blocks in the showcase, yet the Wizards were the team with the highest pick to interview me, didnt want to go there and got drafted by the Pelicans, also got a save where i got drafted by the Suns. So if i don't get drafted by the Magic should i go to the Pelicans or Suns ?

Btw i'm a 6 ft 3 athletic PG

I also have PG with the wolves, and created a 7 foot defensive center. I got drafted by the Thunder. Not what I wanted, but sounds like what you are looking for. As Perkins is only 70 OVR and not very good on offense, its easy to overtake him for the starting spot really quick.
