Centers seem to get pushed around easier. A lot more sliding around this year. Nice to know that players seem more grounded in the Next generation.

Tenacious Rebounder, hustle, and strength help with boxing your man out on DReb and when the shot goes up on OReb.

SP/VC should be super easy to get as I routinely finish a game with 4-700 depending on the social media challenge. I always get an A+. Set those screens!
I hear that. My first game against Nicola Vucevic was frustrating as hell. He seemed to be bossing me about alot, Again it may be down to my low 70s strength and no rebounding based sig skills. Next I'm facing Tyson Chandler which should be interesting as he is a strong defence first center.

I always set screens and I'm getting like B+ team-mate grades on like 18 MPG. I noticed you get fouled alot going for put backs after an offensive rebound. I am able to cope with my FT's just now and I'm averaging about 9.5 PPG so far.

Well yeah now I'm pretty ****ing pissed off now. The game for some stupidass reason after the slam dunk contest simmed me all the way to the playoffs so I couldn't play the all star game, I couldn't play the games I wanted, I got cheated out of the MVP award, and now i'm pretty annoyed. At least it didn't skip me to the end of the end of the season but for ****s sake, come on. And the slam dunk contest court still seriously says 2013 Houston All Star weekend. Are you kidding me?

It depends on the type of PF/C you want to be, either a high-post, pick and pop/roll, or banger in the low-post battling for put-backs and things of that nature. Rebounds can be tricky, as there will be a lot of them that you lose to canned animations with them either bouncing off your head, back, or just a bit out of reach for you to grab. There will even be a few times where you timed your jump wrong and missed a rebound that was meant for you lol. The most important tip on rebounding is position and boxing out.

When the shot goes up, head straight to the paint, hold LT to box out, and never give up on a play. Hustle Points and Tenacious Rebounder are excellent sigs to get for this. I rarely pull up for the J, and I convert even less even though my Mid-range is maxed at 80 with a respectable shoot in traffic rating. Just can't get it down for me.

The biggest tip on getting your points is to get a go to move in the low post. I love setting screens for a roll to the rim, but when the game slows down, and the offense is bogged, call for it in the post and make a play. There are so many options here it's crazy. You can hit them with the fadeaway, faceup J (if you're good at it), attack their outside foot for a rim shot, a foul, or a pass to the open shooter/cutter. I rely on my athleticism a lot with a quick spin to the hole and lay up or dunk.

I utilize the jump hook on smaller defenders.

Defensive Anchor is a must, in my opinion. Especially because I play a lot of minutes and can't afford to sprint back on defense every single play, so my teammates need to hold their own. And it helps a bit with our perimeter defenders with the 3 ball.

As far as blocking shots, I get 90% of mine when the offensive player breaks down his man and goes to the rim and I'm rotating for help defense. 5% come off of 1v1 in the low post, 3% on defending the pick and pop game, and 2% on defending the perimeter.

Once you're a starter, you'll get a lot of garbage rebounds at the end of the game. I usually come into the 4th with 10+ rebounds and get about 3-7 depending on my aggressiveness.

My play style is a mixture between Ben Wallace's defense, Shaq's paint dominance, and Hakeem's post smoothness. If I'm in close to the basket, I'm dunking it, if I'm on the high to low block, I can hit them with the fadeaway, spin, fake, hook, however they want it lol.

              My sig skills:

Hustle Points - It's a no brainer. My PF is always battling for ORebs and I need to be able to go up quickly after I get the ball.

              Tenacious Rebounder - Well, it's pretty self-explanatory.

Finisher - My hot spots are directly under the basket and the left block, so every shot I take has contact and is being contested and this helps on And 1s.

Defensive Anchor - Anything to help your players play better defense is great.

Post Proficiency - Need to be able to produce late in games when the PnR isn't available.

The biggest tip though, upgrade your free throw immediately. I was getting hacked going up for a shot constantly and only converted 16% of my shots at the line for a few games. Once I upgraded my free throw, I was getting so many extra points it was crazy.

Increase your hustle, defensive awareness, hands, ball security, vertical, shot in traffic, strength, and that's about it.

Play on Simulation, so that you can get the ball more often when you first start.
              Good read, thank you.

I've made a 7'2 center and I've got severe stamina problems. Not that I run that much - I barely ever sprint - but it seems my height and weight are punished with extreme stamina drain. My stamina is maxed out at 85, but still I'm tired for the whole 4th quarter. I think I have to buy the Gatorade Sig skill next, although I actually didn't want to. There are so many other nice things out there (Post Proficiency, Tenacious Rebounder, Finisher?, Brick Wall?, Defensive Anchor? and it seems I've got to look at Hustle Points, as well).

just received player of the game while only scoring 6 points.

I was created a defensive center just to try something different. I was playing the Heat and the entire team was playing well. The funny thing is I didn't do much in the first half picked up two quick fouls in the 2nd quarter and had to sit out for much of the 1st half

In the 2nd Half, my team was still holding the heat off and all I was doing was getting rebounds, made a couple of assists and blocked 2 shots 1 on Lebron as he was going to the basket.

At the end of the game, I was named player of the game with 6 points, 15 rebounds, and 2 blocks.
It was probably the rebounds that did it, but this is the first time for me that in the mycareer mode that I received POG while scoring less than double digits.

I'm playing on all-star is this an ok difficulty to be playing on? Or should I be playing on superstar? My team is 8-9. Also, my player keeps doing the same 2hand dunk even tho I edited my dunk package.

Why is it that the All star game is so damn fun bc everyone is playing like themselves. Y can't every game be like that in MYPLAYER instead of dumb down AI who can't even tie their shoes right.

I no its only one game but kind of give me some happiness b/c i was losing hope.

Now its time to win all star game.

If only when playing with Superstars they played like they do in All star game. I MIGHT ACTUALLY PLAY MORE THAN JUST KEY GAMES.

                    Back to ALl star game.

Yep. There are a few nightmare match-ups in the league when you're a PF/C. I was matched up against 'Melo for about 12-15 minutes throughout my last game, luckily I was able to use my length and defense to shut him down. It was a hassle every single time he got the ball though.

I hate going up against lanky stretch 4s or 5s. I am almost exclusively slotted at PF because our C depth is excellent (Derrick Favors starting, and Enes Kanter off bench).

Thomas Robinson, Kenneth Faried, Andrea Bargnani, Kevin Love, Pekovic, Andre Drummond, Pau Gasol, Dwight Howard, Marc Gasol, Z-Bo, Bynum are all guys that I have to actively guard.

To make it even worse, the Cavs acquired Z-Bo, so him and Bynum are a nightmare to contain.

Tyson Chandler is pretty easy to play off of as his offensive production is nil, and you have good length to challenge him at the rim and put him in foul trouble.

Get Finisher. It is necessary for all of the contact and And-1 opportunities you get around the rim.

                        What is your play-style?

My PF's stamina caps at 85, and with a bit of conservation I can keep it pretty high until the fourth (where I slow down anyway). I'm usually subbed out once with 5 minutes left in the first, and come back in with a few minutes gone in the second.

I only sprint for two reasons: if I'm relatively close to the offensive player on a fast-break and I want to challenge the shot, or if I'm coming back on offense and see a open lane to the basket.

Which isn't often, I have pretty good quickness though, which helps getting around the court without wasting precious stamina.

The Gatorade Sig skill could work, but I'd stay away from it. It would allow you to play the first full quarter, and may save stamina, but there are too many other options that would work better for your game than a skill that is useless after the first quarter.

Defensive Anchor is great for this too. It doesn't save stamina directly, but it helps your teammates play better defense which allows you to come back to action a little slower than normal.

Oh yeah had to stop Griffin from making next shot. was going well until I start sliding and cant jump b/c Griffin HULK Jump from maybe 13 ft out to grab ball and slam it. Couldn't even jump to contest it.

the gatorade skill isn't just 1st quarter anymore its for whole game. It keeps u going even with long minutes compared to last year. so when ur tired ur attributes don't drop as much.

That's pretty awesome; probably why it cost 1000 now.

Then, definitely check that out if stamina is a serious problem.

The gatorade sig skill is AMAZING. It makes the game so much more fun knowing I can sprint more and attack the defense in transition w/o worrying about stamina. I recommend it for any position, especially since once you're good enough they play you the entire second half.

Also if you play on sim settings, stamina will affect you as well.
