Real weird, just played my second game for the Cavs and I'm a role player set for around 15 minutes per game off the bench. I played 40!! No idea why either, no injuries and Waiters was doing okay too.

What doesn't help is that we got blown out and I played the entire 3rd and 4th quarters so I was too tired to do anything, only racked up 17/2/2 with 3 steals as well.

I have a 5'8" 168lb PG that is primarily a 3pt shooter. I did my best to model him after myself since I'm fairly undersized (I'm not even 5'8" haha).

The last 2k game I got was 2k11 and as many of you know it's unbelievably easy to shoot jumpers in that game in MyCareer so it was easy. I really like how much harder it is now especially with the revamped blocking system. Since I'm only 5'8" I get blocked 90% of the time if I don't create a nice shot.

Interviewed by the Mavericks, Thunder, and Bucks (who picked me). I should have gone to the Mavs since they could use PG help but I just like the Bucks' colors more and was hoping I'd help provide depth. However it was extremely challenging. I miss so many shots and turn the ball over often. Still averaged probably 11ppg but our record was like 3-8. I requested a trade (Knicks, Grizzlies, Lakers) because I really wanna play for a team that needs PG help. The Bucks have Brandon Knight as their future.

I got traded to the Wizards.... Really don't like it because John Wall obviously. So I guess I'll have to put in another trade request. Kinda wish auto save wasn't there so I can just go back to the Bucks for a little while longer. Still going to try to land with the Knicks or Grizzlies.

Any tips as to how to approach my play style? Mid is at 77 and 3pt is only 72. Been upgrading shot in traffic so I can reduce the swats. I just don't know what to do with the ball. Can you not call plays like 2k11? (Quick post up, quick screen, designed plays)? I know you can make guys cut and whatnot and the smart play. It seems like every possession I'll either shoot or dish it to someone who misses (on the Bucks). Struggling to get a rhythm going.

Looks like I'll be in Washington for a bit... Please Knicks or Grizzlies take me haha.

Loving the mode so far other than the fact that I'm struggling, but that's what makes it challenging!

Anyone found a solution to the schedule glitch after the all star? I created another my career and the glitch happened again.

I'm 5 games away from the all star game but none of them are key games, the closest key game is straight after the all star game. If I sim to next key game will I get the option to take part in the all star weekend?

Thinking of starting a PF Career. Any suggestions on what play style to choose and any tips?

when i read this i was like how cool would it be if you went super old school and was strictly in the paint dominating style lilke McHale, but could step out to 15-18 feet. Today's PF if they can shoot they can't defend if they defend they cant shoot LOL there are a few here or there, but none like back in the day dual threat

Playing the Miami Heat!!!

please disregard the anger in the post the Magic and Hawks already felt the wrath!

so we go into Miami 12-14 and the heat were 23-0 - WTF!!!! I already knew what me and the Jazz were in for. i'll make this quick

1st - 25-17 heat
2nd - 54-35 heat
3rd - 79-57 heat
4th -.....

Now the 4th starts i'm already like screw it we taking the L but i'm going to play this out - I already have 4 fouls yes a SG with 4 fouls (I fouled out once and that was on purpose because the game froze and I couldn't skip the game and I didn't want to play SAC again) - No other game I have over 2 fouls - later that quarter we cut the lead to 86-80 yes what a run - Burke and Favors helped out a ton as I struggled but was getting to the line. Now somewhere between the run I collected my 5th foul - so now i'm like ok its time to be careful we are getting close now the score is 86-80 about 7:40 left to go in the 4th we can do this - someone for Miami missed a jumpshot I go up for the weak side rebound "whistle" loose ball foul on me fouled out!!!

WHAT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Fellas to put this in perspective the very next game vs. Orlando i did not collect my first foul until 11:42 in the 4th quarter. I don't know if I got real life NBA ref'd or what lmao!!!! but cmon man a loose ball foul. and of course we lose 120-100 after that - so the heat are 24-0 or whatever their record is now as i played 2 more games and now we stand at 14-15 - and yes Orlando got a beatdown and so did Atlanta by 17 and 20 pts respectively - I still feel I had no chance going in, but damn they sure screwed me in the end! LOL!!!!!!

keep it up man you have a challenge there at your size but you should be cool - i would say that this year it is harder to get open unless your running around screens and since your a 1. you're usually around the key area - what i usually do with trey burke since i'm the SG I'll set a screen as my man follows to double i'll slide to the left or right and call for the ball - you may have about 2 seconds that your open but that will set you up - you can let your SG handle the ball if you want to try that method for a couple of shots or pass off and run backdoor screens from the out of bounds behind the backboard area to the corner and try and create a shot for yourself.

But the most important thing you should equip yourself with is "floor general" and "finisher" as special skills and when you get a chance dimer - when your team starts making shots and playing well you will find yourself open more - also dump into the post and see if your man will double down and then call for the ball back - that may get you some space as well. But i say finisher because that way you can drive to the hole and create decent layup opportunities and create more fouls than blocked shots - use pump fakes (rarely work, but they jump sometimes) - just ball out bro!!! dude I played against nate robinson and the bulls the dude is lightning fast with a jumper and is about your height - guarding him was a nightmare lol

Wooosh, just had my first ever quadruple-double. pts, assts, rebs and steals. Had 9 assists entering the 4th quarter (only 8 rebs at that point so I was going for a triple double as I had 10 steals already) but it took me 7 minutes to get the last assist because coach decided to let the 2nd unit for the entire 4th quarter (we were leading by 40 pretty much since after half time, vs. Memphis so yeah no wonder) Got my last rebound 1 min before the end for the quadruple double, so lucky. A bit surprised though that there's no achievement for that

I am wide open for the inbound slamming the button, but it is a 'bad call for pass', so he decided to throw it to a double teamed Jamal Crawford. Ball stolen, hit the jumper, ties the game with 7 seconds left.

Sideline inbound, I am at the top of the key wide open once again slamming the button. Team mate passes to Jamal Crawford once again...while he is standing out of bounds. Turnover.

They miss the shot goes into OT.

I've had my share of frustration with this game mode, but this last game against the Bulls takes the cake. I was so mad I actually laughed lol. Ok, so I'm playing the Bulls and we're getting steamrolled, down by 18 in the 1st freaking quarter so I quit the game (didn't save the game, just quit). So I go back to the main menu and notice an 'L' for that game even though I didn't simulate that game. Red flag. Basically it's pre-determined that I'm going to lose this game. So I play the game, and its a pretty close game, back and forth. We build a decent lead in the 3rd quarter and I'm thinking "OK maybe we can pull this off." Then came the 4th quarter comeback cheese. Joakim Noah making contested fall away jumpers from 18 feet. Again, JOAKIM NOAH making contested fall away jumpers from 18 feet. Wow. Me and my teammates turning the ball over, missing layups, the usual. We get down to crunch time and we're down 1. I have the ball at the top of the key and call an iso for myself. I get to the paint and score with 1.9 seconds left. They call timeout and move the ball to the halfcourt line. I already know they're going to Rose, so I crowd him and deny the ball (they should have been called for a 5 sec. violation). He eventually gets open enough to receive the pass; 35-40 feet away from the basket. I get in his face and challenge the shot and guess what: nothing but net from almost freaking halfcourt. Unbelievable. I hate when they script the outcome of the game

About to start my career over when I realized my player couldn't get lockdown d. How is it not overpowered to negate ALL offensive skills?

That sucks you can't get it. However, lockdown is NOT overpowered. It is just like the rest of the game. The AI adjusts for everything regardless. They are down, their PF has been on exhausted for 6 minutes yet he (62 rating) hits 5 shots against me with lockdown. Every power is overrated when the computer has the fix on. Just how it is.
