Played a cheeser last night. He was reaching but I was using the Y-button protect. He had 2 fouls with LeBron and 1 with Wade in the first minute. He quit immediately.

Re: 2K will crack to the casuals. I can see it already....
Question about that: do players still do a good job of getting their feet behind the line when they're supposed to? We might be referring to two different issues. 2K used to have a problem (maybe in, like, 2K11 and earlier) where players who should be squaring up behind the line would often step on the line (particularly from the corner). I'm supposing you're not referring to that.
I know the problem you're taking about in past 2ks. Possibly 2k8. I know the slide-behind-the-3 feature was something I liked when I used to have the problem but I just don't anymore in 2k14 without it. I don't know if I've just played enough years to be able to navigate around the line better or because players end up in the right spots but it's perfectly fine. Add this years quick step back and there's no excuse for screwing up on the line. And when you occasionally do, it's rather realistic because it does happen in real life.Comment

Yes they do. I have had zero problems with that and didn't notice that the 3pt sliding feature was removed. I make it rain with the splash brothers.

Lol yet another one. 2K really made a beautiful game with 2K14 this year. This video really shows how little these "Youtubers" know about 2K basketball. All you have to do is change your defensive settings to make your team play tight D. You also should lower your help defense slider if you dont want guys coming over and helping in the paint. I bet he did none of that. Also on that pass that Lebron through away, Dwight Howard was right in front of the ball. What is he talking about? Mistakes like that happen in real life. It's called mis-communication.
Nobody wants to take the time to learn things and make adjustments these days. They just expect to pick up the game, follow the same cheesy habits from past years and dominate right away. That's definitely not basketball. It's about strategy, development and adjustments. Devs, thank you so much for NBA 2K14.Last edited by hear me now; 10-04-2013, 10:38 AM.Comment

Enjoy this while it last because us cheese players will not allow this to stand. We are 2k biggest consumers and we will not allow this game to be ruined. Defense being way too overpaid, every drible becomes a loose ball, pratically impossible to drive into the lane. Game has literally become all defense and no offense, no fun in that. Next patch should fix all this nonsense and make 2k a great once again.
Also stop telling me to buy NBA Jam, the game blows.Comment

I love the feel of this game. It may have topped out graphics-wise for this gen, and that's a valid observation, but under the hood this baby plays like REAL ball. Defense is so damn important and there are no easy outs. Every time I get beaten on the dribble, I know that it was MY fault for riding him too close and/or not moving well enough to get in front of him. When I make that mistake, the ball handler gets his points, it's that simple.
When I get better I'm REALLY looking forward to some of the defensive battles I want to have, oh man...- Imdahman

Get over it. You no longer have any power, and the simheads will not allow you to infect this game with your poison. Either adjust or play something else.

Haha lol you need to run plays or a simple pick and roll. I bet you are iso'ing in situations in freelance when you shouldn't. The patch you need is to learn that best play option. Also you can play defense too so how is it overpowered. I think you are playing bad.Comment

These YT peeps are "turrible" (charles barkeley voice).
As VNI stated... lets stop giving them views... they are not what OS/SIMnation are about, imo.
Small Rant:SpoilerCry, Cry, Cry... is all they are saying... "OMG why didn't my CPU player do that, do this, do that, etc etc" .... blah blah blah... play the damn game people... quit trying to let the CPU do everything for you." Like I've been saying as of late... lets just put Coach Mode online... in competition play... they don't want to do anything anyway... smh
2K if you cater to these peeps...

Re: 2K will crack to the casuals. I can see it already....
What I find funny is that the changes have not even been that drastic.
The same cheesy tactics from last year's game (turbo-cross up the court and jack a three, dribble around in circles with your star until a lane opens, 1-3-1 defense) can still be pretty effective, they just work a little bit less often.
Even when the offense loses the ball by dribbling into a defender now, it still bounces right back to them 7 or 8 times out of 10.
I'm pleased with the changes but to be honest VC could've gone much farther. They were clearly trying to find a middle ground.Comment

Most of the complaints are basically cheeser's in disguise lol. They didn't realize they were cheesing but the complaints say what they truly are. These games will eventually be competition gaming worthy.Comment

The sad thing is dudes like you are probably the majority in regards to who buys this game so I am a tad nervous that the complaints by the likes of you and IKC are going to make this game worse...2k desperately needs to bring back lobbies to appease the masses and seperate the "win at all cost guys no matter how lame" from the simheads...
Last edited by NINJAK2; 10-04-2013, 02:46 PM.EA and 2k have the unfortunate task of trying to balance on a tightrope of fun and sim while trying not to fall 10,000 feet to their death. Instead of a safety net waiting down below there will just be angry customers quick to move out of the way and talk of their failure.Comment
