Re: I understand making it realistic...
You don't miss wide open layups. That means someone is there contesting your layup and they aren't wide open.
You might think you are open, from a video game perspective, but from a realistic perspective you aren't open.
I think they've balanced that very well this year. Learn to adjust or change your sliders. Everything Is adjustable so no need to start a thread about it.

Re: I understand making it realistic...
Say for example.
Lebron fast break, 1 on 1. Hopstep via prostick to the left but hits the side of the rim after losing the defender lolComment

Re: I understand making it realistic...
Hopstep or Euro step? Are these guys even rated high for those type of euro layups? You are misleading man that is not open. What you need to do is:
- Check their ratings: LeBron is not a Euro type of guy so he probably doesn't have a high rating for it. KD doesn't use Euro's much either. You are probably better using a normal layup or dunking with KD, or use a smart shot with LeBron but don't get mad when you get contact more than dunks and get misses,
- The developers are letting us play with more contact like the refs sometimes do. You need to record videos of this.
- Check Pierce layup ratings he is not that great in the paint. He shot 56% on layups last season. That is not that great add this to when he is contested and I bet his numbers are not high.

Re: I understand making it realistic...
So fast. U can't even play on ball defense on the perimeter.

Its something about this years game that just feels restricted in terms of maneuvering. I do know that you cannot hold the pass icon button down and cross over or shoot at the same time like last year which was disappointing.
D is straight but not as big of an improvement as I expected you still at times can run into players when trying to stay in from of them and bounce off of them like their flubber n shxx which moves you out of position and not to mention the slow reaction contest when you give the command on the sticks if it even responds AT ALL. I guess all the loose balls due to the live ball is suppose to make up for some defense.
percentages seem to be ok but online ppl still get those iffy buckets, rebounds and loose balls that seem to come at crucial points in the game that drive me crazy especially when you do everything right only to have someone drain their only three in the game with your hand morphing thru their hand and the ball smh.
Luckily my cuzin let me borrow the game. 2k14 is better than 2k13 and its suppose to be but its not enough for me to want to buy it.

Lowering quickness to 20 and speed to 25 for both player and CPU stops a lot of the 'skating' for me.
Def makes the player much more controllable.Comment
