My hype meter for next gen GAMES are really low

Yeah, I'm there with you. I'm not a PC gamer but I'm also not buying a next generation system this year. The next gen 2K stuff we've seen so far has looked quite impressive, but it hasn't dropped my jaw to the floor. I tend not to bring that up here though, at risk of being mocked for not making uncomfortably amorous statements about how bad I need a PS4 after seeing that screenshot of James Harden.

I'll be curious to see what 2K has in store aside from graphics. I'm guessing the unusually lukewarm feeling I have for current generation 2K14 has kind of dropped me into a 2K lull. Last generation, signature styles on the 360 and PS3 is what made my move from PS2 upward feel immediately necessary. I'm wondering if there'll be something as significant with the PS4 version that could lead to similar feelings.

Man, I made that mistake. I'm playing 2K14 on current gen, waiting for the PS4 version in a month, and it's torture. After seeing all these screens and vids of next gen, it feels like i'm playing a PS2 game. So much to the point where I can't even play a full quarter of a game anymore.

everytime i go to redbox...i see 2k14.....always tempted...but...HECK NO! I'll wait for the PS4.

Why do you guys think this will be any different from last time we made the jump from xbox to xbox 360 or ps2 to ps3????

I guarantee most new titles are watered down in modes with great graphics. Everyone forget Madden 06 on xbox 360?? It looked awesome in previews with groundbreaking graphics, but it had some awful animations, no modes, poor commentary, etc. Granted this was EA, but I don't see the next gen titles being amazing until after the new consoles have been out for awhile.

I experienced this as well with NHL 2k6, only graphics was a bit better in 360 than the old one. But I think 2K is challenged not to commit the same mistake. Because EA is coming to the NG and if Live beats 2K in NG, it will be a big loss for 2K. Like what happen the following year in NHL. EA did not release in the new 360, they waited until 2007 when they release the RS as your hockey stick and that blew the 2K's NHL.

To the people asking about legends, yes they're in.

To the people doing nothing but assuming it will be a port with better graphics, keep being wrong. 2K had an entirely different team dedicated to next gen that has been working on this game for a looooooong time. It won't be just a port, and that's a guarantee.

Especially since 2K has already stated next gen will have some completely new and different features than current gen. I love when you people think you know what you're talking about and you just end up being wrong

That's not what he meant. He was replying to Goffs when he said he wasn't excited cause the game didn't give off that next gen vibe..

LD2K was saying talk to him in a month when he plays the game, then let him know how he feels.

Well maybe because the game developers themselves have said it here, on these message boards, countless numbers of times. Basically laughing at the people who say it's just going to be a port.

2k15-2k17 is when i'm gearing up for next gen. This year I feel it will be a graphic upgrade with the exact same animations.

Madden 06 also pretty much rewrote their codebase, so they didn't have time to add in the modes and features everyone wanted. I would imagine 2k, and even EA, isn't dumb enough to repeat that mistake with the new consoles. not to mention all the reports of how much easier it is to develop on the PS4/XB One.

Devs have already said Crew isn't in Next Gen. It's current gen exclusive.

If I remember right, they ad language about crew said xbox 360 and ps3 only, and Ronnie clarified that this meant that it would not be on PC (too easy to hack my career players). He said that nothing was being said about next gen features at this time.

It may be that crew is not on next gen, but we know nothing about next gen game modes or features at this time, other than that Harden's forehead wrinkles when he goes

Oh, and Lebron is in the game, in some limited role of some sort.
