Thank you 2k. You've given me a reason to actually be excited for next gen.

All I've been hearing about is how a big graphics jump from gen3 to gen4 is not possible. This trailer proves that to be total BS.

I wrote about this several weeks back regarding steals and blocks, but not sure where it is. But basically...

You can't defy physics. If any part of the hands, arms, body touches the ball, collision detection and physics MUST come into play and alter the ball's original path. When that results in a block, it NEEDS to be a block. When that results in a steal, it NEEDS to be a steal.

That's real life.

Or would you rather the ball go through body parts, and defy collision detection and physics. Do you want something fake?

People who were saying Next-Gen graphics would be a minimal improvement over CG had me worried at first, but this is the biggest graphical jump I've ever witnessed. I also thought current gen looked pretty darn good too.

I am beyond amazed.

Looks gorgeous. Would like to see a playable angle though.

And if the A.I. isn't improved from current gen (paint abuse, shot clock, rebounding, etc) then it'll be a flatulent pretty girl who picks her nose and has an odd body odor.

If there were such a thing called 'video game porn' Nba2k14 next-gen would be it.
For those who say bout game play.. Shhhhhhhhhhhhhhh ya mouths.
1st you have to give the audience a reason to jump to pay up $400-500 dollars for next-gen.
The visual has done that!! 2nd every review of the current gen says (with some flaws) 2k14 Damn near nailed it Nba game way wise. 3rd we have Mods here like Vtcrb, Rondo is god, and Nogon 7 for major tweaks to game play & rosters. And if your still not satisfied.. Go play Live 14 and see if that's better. ............. I'll wait.

And right on time the nitpicking commences lol. Also, why were a lot of you guys looking for 5v5 gameplay? It specifically said "Trailer" not "gameplay trailer" or "live gameplay." They aren't going to release it this early for obvious reasons, one being I say it's about a week or two too early to show it or reveal the meat and bones, think about it, what better way to market your upcoming next gen game and next gen systems than when the NBA season starts....Easy advertising to millions baby plus it'll be just a little over 2 weeks away from release then. Only makes sense.

Well, I want both. I'm glad there's a trailer. It definitely confirmed the game will look beautiful. No one is in here saying it doesn't. But there are still guys unhappy with certain facets of the PS3 version of the title, so I would like to know that those have been improved. What's the point in playing a beautiful game if you aren't happy with how it plays?

And besides, that other game (as OS loves to put it) is apparently showing 5 on 5 (remains to be seen if true, but that teaser definitely showed more of what's gonna happen while the basketball is on the floor than this entire trailer did) on Friday so I don't really get the whole "it's too early" argument. It's never early if the game is nearly done.

Anyway, I'm sure 2K is gonna be a good game, but I need very good. I don't have time for just good anymore. My life is great so I need very good-to-great around it (yeah, man! ) But seriously, I want very good. If Live isn't very good, I won't buy it either.

I just won't jump on definitely purchasing 2K without knowing what a 5 on 5 is gonna look like on both games. Inside Drive wasn't the prettiest of games but it was the best game for at least two years. Live doesn't have to look pretty to be very good.

But, I know 2K isn't done showing us what it's got. So show us. I'm waiting. I'm gonna soak in the info for both games and make a decision based on what I want. Never will I just assume one game is dead because the other came out with a fire trailer.

Why cause a guy who doesn't care about graphics and dunks wants to see in game footage. Game looks good, but I wanna see more, like a full game, how it sounds, plays, and obviously looks.

Visually, it's disgustingly sick. Amazing job by 2K on the graphics department.

What I'm concerned about is the...everything else. It looks like 2K focused so much on the aesthetics that giving anything else much attention (gameplay, Association Mode, AI Logic, etc) might not be possible.

But we'll see.

You know artists and graphics engineers don't work on AI and game modes, right?
