No its not a gameplay trailer, its a CGI / cut scene trailer. You dont need to have a full quarter of a game for it to be gameplay. You can still have a 2 minute trailer with actual gameplay footage.

Its not real gameplay, its just the cut scenes/ replays which are not real gameplay.

Let it go when has 2k ever released a trailer that wasn't game play?
When sites get to get their previews in then we I'll see the camera in its regular position, and still see fantastic graphics.

And when the hell does NBA 2k ever have cutscenes? Nothing has ever been A cutsene in since NBA 2k for ps2. Everything runs in gameplay and when the actions stops the camera gets closer to the players. Different camera angles.

As of right now, all I know is that 2K is a graphical upgrade of PS3 version. Not enough for me to purchase.

Get me some gameplay videos and show me that this is gonna play next-gen basketball. I can watch NBA basketball if I want real looking faces.

I actually went through the first 30 pages to see the reactions and any screens/gifs and I had to reply to this one.. Let me just say

You're not very bright if you think thats live gameplay. Look at the framerate its running in. PC cant even do that yet, what you're watching are cut scenes.

Theyre are highlight reels. Lets all stop pretending theyre not.

Some people don't understand the meaning "gameplay trailer"

It even shows in the beginning
"Actual Playstation 4 NBA 2K14 Game Footage with variable camera angles"

That means the footage they're showing is from the game.

I dont think you know the difference and I encourage you to do some more research.

Someone posted a 2k13 CGI trailer in here... you should look and compare because its nothing CGI in this trailer.

its the cut scenes/replay which are CGI.

when you see the cut scenes in the current gen versions of nba2k14 it looks way better than when you do an actual manual reply.

If the real gameplay footage looked exactly like that, dont you think they would add in real gameplay footage of the actual gameplay when you are playing live and not replays and cut scenes?

It is some gameplay, but it's most likely cut replays to look more aesthetically pleasing(which is fair, that's what trailers do) but i think people wanna see more meat of the gameplay rather than just some highlight dunks and cinematic shots.

It's a trailer using replays from the gameplay engine. That's COMPLETELY different from CGI.

I know what you're saying -- we all want actual gameplay from broadcast cam, but this is not just a CGI trailer. Gameplay will come. Meanwhile, people are excited because they actually have imaginations. If the models and lighting look this good, merely replacing 2K with these art assets would already look very, very good.

Umm I have a mid level gaming pc and mine runs framerates with NBA2k edited to close to that level fine. If the new consoles aren't more powerful than my $700 2 year old PC then the future is not very bright.

That means the footage they're showing is from the game.

Obviously the footage is from the game. But is that how its gonna look when youre playing it live ? Maybe when you pause it and press replay...

1. Gameplay trailer and Gameplay footage are two entirely different things. Stop trying to define or redefine one as the other, because it simply doesn't work that way.

2. There is a difference between CGI and Replay Mode trailers. The Madden 06 trailer was CGI. It does not get more CGI than that. We've seen screenshots of the game (and Live). They both look good (with 2K having the edge IMO) in still images so there's no reason to believe they won't still look good in motion (considering 2K has no problems animating their players and Live does, but that's another discussion for a different thread).

3. It's fine to want to see actual gameplay footage. We all do. Especially with how the game looks to be at this moment. However, and I reiterate, I would appreciate it if you stop confusing two seperate terms and trying to fuse them together to strengthen your opinion, because it's doing the opposite.
