Current gen court does look better. I think colors maybe overdone on current gen though.
Player models, jersey ripples, look nice on next Gen though.#1 Laker fan

why does the player models look to big for the court on the next gen version? The colors of the court is off too.Comment

I have no idea where people are seeing that the players look too big for the court.Comment

It's always been that way for 2K, though. Thats why when it came to court spacing, Live felt more realistic, minus their player movements. They never really nailed colors in their games, but have made improvements from previous games. There are still more to make, hopefully they get it right this new generationComment

The players are the same size as the real screenshot.. I'm a complainer but not a not picker. The size is fine, can't everyone just be happy about something?PSN: ForeverVersatile

I would hold out for the final cut of the game to see cameramen and/or more coaches... In the twitter from os yesterday he mentioned seeing the detail on the cameramen... I always hope cameramen are included as it adds to the packed feeling of the arena and the realism of course... I'm sure they r detailed like everything else too- One of One -

The only necessary improvement is to dim the reflection of light on the court. Otherwise, it looks pretty spot on from dimensions of court, player size relative to court, court colors(compare with hi-res real picture) etc.Comment

The reflections and lighting in Next Gen are leaps and bounds better than current gen. Just take a look at the reflections on the CG court. See how bright they are?Comment

The next gen version looks really good. I like the look of the current gen as well. I bought the current gen version and I am inclined to wait till 2k15 drops. I think we will all be blown away by another year of development on the next gen consoles.
I want to revisit this thread again once we see a screenshot of 2k15.Comment

Hilarious that people can still be trashing the next gen graphics. Even by the year 3983 you guys will still complain because no matter how real it gets it will never be real life.

You know where these exact conversations already occurred (how lame old gen looks and how real-to-life next gen looks)? The last time we switched from one generation to the next (PS2 to PS3). To see how goo-goo people were for 360 and PS4 graphics of 2K back then, you'd have a hard time believing anyone would be able to trash those graphics in the manner people are doing now.
I think the old generation graphics are good. I think the next generation graphics are better. But I don't doubt we'll be looking back on 2K14 eight years from now and laughing and criticizing in the same manner we're currently doing with last gen graphics. We'll laugh at 2K's inability to put warmups on players, fill the baseline with cameramen, and prevent Klay Thompson from performing a glitchy half spin when drifting to the corner.
I think it's all relative. We should appreciate what we have, but I don't think that means it should be immune to criticism.Comment
