Erick clearly said in the video that you can take risks like overpaying a player and going above budget, but if your team is losing money AND not making up for it with success on the court, then you get fired.

Will the 30 team option be available next year? Like selecting all 30 owners or GM's?

So if I'm doing a MyGM and my team loses money, I get fired and the MyGM season is over? Or do I have to start with another team?

I don't understand the point of a myplayer mode if you don't want naything RPG-ish. If all you want is to create a player and put him on an NBA team and play normal games, that's not really a 'mode'.

This is what I was afraid of seems this gm role has more importance then the actual on court game. I really hope there is an auto pilot mode where I can just focus playing the games on the schedule, so far it almost seems the on court game doesnt matter.

How the hell does your on court game not matter? You still have to play the games. This just gives you more options from the GM side of things instead of just drills/practice/trades/FA. I'm sure you can set those aspects to be simmed just like you can with prospect scouting, rotation, staff contracts, etc.

Although I do hope they offer a straight "association" mode like years past.

I read Season mode as 1 single season.

Not a dynasty or multiple years.

They got to be kidding me if that's true.

Obviously it means one season.. MyGM takes the place of multiple season mode. What I could see happening is:

1) Maybe implementation of settings such as firing OFF, edit CPU teams ON, etc.. if they are not there this year, I am sure 2K will work on getting those variables in there.

2) Maybe next year they could add a GM/COACH setting (Like Owner, Coach, Player in madden) and with GM you do all the stuff while in coach, it plays just like old association where you just focus on playing and team building, etc..

People seem to hate change and never give it a chance. In the interview, what he said makes the mode deeper and I believe in the end, will be the best for the game, assuming they can accommodate you guys who like 30 team control, etc.

Never will understand the hate for the "RPG" elements saying take it to GTA, its fantasy, etc..

It just adds depth to the game, association was so freaking stale it was not funny. At least for me it was.

I feel that adding elements to create depth is best, but also agree there should be options for others who did enjoy those modes.

i think its cool.. but i dont see it as a good idea.. i mean they now have to make new mini clips or whatever every year or fans will say its just the same over and over..

and i think it makes no sense to have a GM with 25 yrs. old tellinf legens like Garnett what and what not..

id just be okay with asso mode with some new stuff like jersey creating and weekly highlights and all star weekend.. but hey im not passing on that game.. so lets try it first

I think an inclusion of "can't be fired" would be a good option. I know Out of the Park Baseball has this option. I like both. If you play with firing turned on, it feels like you are actually a GM that might have to move around the league until you find the right team in the right situation to succeed. With firing turned off, you can take control of your favorite team and try to build a dynasty with them.

well that sucks...I only like to play as the Cavs and I don't want to get forced into playing another team. What about ppl that like to tank on purpose is that out of the picture now?

I'm having a hard time seeing how anyone could hate this mode honestly. Everybody is shooting down the RPG element before it even gets off the ground good.

It's deep, and it runs circles around the stale Association we had to deal with for so long. I can't wait, most of my time will be spent with my Sixers in MyGM.
