I play on All Star right now, but will probably be moving up to superstar at some point and then will end up on HOF. Last year I ended up on HOF after starting out on AS. The AI actually seems smarter this year so I have been getting great games on allstar right now, but I know the more I play the better I will get, so I will move up as needed cause I like a challenge and not be able to win unless I play at my best.

Usually Superstar/Sim; I say usually because for the first 13 games of my 2nd MyCarer I had it on All-Star/Sim and didn't even know it. I assumed that I had made my changes before I started playing but after a while I started to get curious as to why I beat the Spurs by 28 in San Antonio; I checked and there it was AS/Sim, I chalked some of our bigger wins up to me getting more minutes and having a bigger impact on the outcome than in some of our earlier, closer wins. I played the next few games and had a few close wins and a few blowout wins, then I played the Thunder in OKC and lost by 5 in OT. After I crushed the Heat on SS/Sim I thought about going up a level but I decided against it. So far after switching to SS/Sim my team is 21-1(the loss to OKC); before I went to work I started on a rematch with the Spurs and it was 55-50 Spurs at the start of the 3rd.

I haven't noticed a difference between the difficulty levels except when you get put on the bench. All Star - Your team is up by a few points. Superstar - Its about even. HOF - Your down 15

I play on Hall Of Fame/Sim difficulty in MyCareer as well as in Exhibition/Association games. The CPU cheese is very annoying and hard to deal with, but I manage to win quite often. Unfortunately though, I have to resort to playing hero ball on a regular basis.

I try to run a bunch of plays, but not a whole lot are effective to be honest. Also in MyCareer, the fact that teammates brick a lot of wide-open jumpers when my MyPlayer is getting doubled, is really really annoying.

I soooo hope the amount of cheese is severely limited in the next-gen iteration of 2k14, although I doubt it.

This is exactly why I stick to SS/Sim; I don't like feeling like I have to drop 40-50 to keep the game close/win. When I played against the Thunder I scored 46, but we lost and I didn't feel like I had to do everything to keep it close; the starters had good games, we came up short in bench production which lead to the loss.

                Usually superstar/default.

I started out on simulation but default seems more realistic to me. The main difference i see is that with "simulation" the cpu team magically gets 20+ off rebs and the point guards are constantly attacking the basket (dribbling in between 4-5 people and making up and unders against my pf and/or c), also all of a sudden i can barely block a layup anymore.

Edit: This is in association. Not sure about mycareer.
