Yeah, hopefully we get this addressed, my hope was that enough people would come forward with having a problem that maybe it would get noticed and be fixed. I know it a pipe dream but we can hope…...

Happens to me as well. It gets me crazy when a simple defensive rebound becomes a "stay locked on the floor and watch the other guy grab the ball for a 2 points with an extra point (yeah it frustrates me !!!!)".
Please change it !!!

Seriously... when I press a button and nothing happens, it's quite frustrating. Especially when it's OReb #21 that the ******* Bobcats just grabbed. I have tweaked sliders and everything, and for the most part my rebound numbers are balanced. But every once in awhile I'll have a game where I get outrebounded by a team like Orlando or Boston and I'm Detroit. It's because CPU-controlled players watch the ball and the opponent goes after it. All the while I'm mashing triangle and my player is comically watching. Good stuff. Done with my rant, sorry.

Simple fix.

Raise the vert and quickness attribute.

It directly ties to that. A previous post said they have vert maxed but still have the same issue, but when I tested and adjusted I saw a noticeable difference.

Ive tested this when I edited my roster. M.Gasol, Hibbert. etc. all the "slow" unathletic bigs are severely handicapped with delayed responses to rebounds because their athletic stats are so low.
I raised vert and quickness scales to 40+. made sure vert and quickness sliders were default and don't have the issue anymore.

Yeah this tends to get on my nerves as well. It seems you just get caught in a lot of contact animations in this game.
- Rebounding: Trying to box out or get position you can get stuck, causing the inability to jump.
- Passing/dribbling: When you dribble and the defender makes contact you get stuck and stumble, causing an inability to pass out or dribble away. When you instinctively press the pass button to an open teammate it will often result in a turnover because the pass happens 2-3 seconds after you pressed the button.
- Blocks: Sometimes when you go up to contest a dunk you get stuck in an animation that turns you into a prop. I know this happen irl but when i press the block button i want to see a block, a foul or an attempted block. If i wanted my guy to stand there and do nothing, i wouldn't press the block button... 2k loves to proclaim they got rid of the "canimations" from 2k11, which no defensive player ever wanted them to btw, but the truth is the game is filled with them. They just took out the defensive ones.

Those 3 are just of the top of my head, i'm sure i'm forgetting some.

Not a simple fix at all. It is just poor button responsiveness and player movement. I have a 94 vert and 82 quickness in MC and my guy still jumps 3-4 seconds AFTER I have pressed the button. It interferes with rebound timing, shot block/contest timing, on-ball defense and players moving around the court in general. And this problem only affects user players.

I play with the Pacers all the time and had this problem with Hibbert and even West occasionally. I just upped their stamina a bit and it helped. In a previous association I upped their vertical and quickness a bit and that helped too. I feel its linked more to fatigue though because when players are tired they seem to become stuck to the floor.

mmm. Weird.

I know it definitely worked for me. The results were night and day when I tested multiple players.

Yeah, a lot of fixes and things you can implement in other modes don't transfer as well to MC. You can make roster edits and change sliders and things in other modes to make the game seem like it plays smoother but underlying game flaws are still there just masked a little better. In MC since you can't adjust sliders and such roster edits only go so far.

This happens in quick matches too. Online and offline. Or maybe it's just Marc Gasol?

Yes, it's most prevalent in MC by far. But I've also noticed it in association games when one of us (me and my buddy I that I do a 2-man with) are player-locked. Although, in fairness to Nogster, it seems to happen much less to players that are a bit quicker. For example, we just traded Pau and some picks for Z-Bo, and Zach doesn't have near the problem with this happening like Pau did.

The reason for ZBO not having issues is because he has "tenacious rebounder" as a sig skill.
So the A.I behaviour and reaction timing, even when controlled by you is far more aggressive at rebounding and rebound positioning.
Tenacious rebounder is a very powerful sig skill.

What's most frustrating is when I get docked more than half a letter grade for

-Allow offensive rebound
-Allow man to score
-Bad block attempt

And Lord forgive I foul the guy on his shot when really I was trying to grab the board.. that's another minus-grade for committing the foul.

So bogus.

This. I fouled out of a game last night, with 3 of the fouls being me challenging for the rebound, they catch it then I get a blocking foul because of the slow animations we get compared to AI players. I can't contest rebounds from my own missed shots like the AI can

This happens to me but only in the fourth quarter. First three quarters I have total control. But for some reason in the fourth quarter, My Player won't react to the jumping inputs. I hope they add this to their patch and fix it for the next-gen versions.
