My first was NBA 2k on the Dreamcast. I have played every 2k game since then except for NBA 2K3. I have always preferred the series to NBA Live. My favorite game modes to play are My Player and Association which is now My GM.

Mine was nba 2k3 I think (the one with A.I was called espn basketball) and I mainly played h2h with my cousins. Because we were 9 and 10 years old.

Since they started putting franchise/Dynasty/Association modes in games that has been my only mode I play. Take away those modes and I would not buy. I could care less to play online or just play a game just to play it. I want to feel like Im immersed in my organization and building a successful team, without being unrealistic. My favorite teams are the Pacers in basketball and the Reds in baseball, so they are both small market teams, so thats the way I make decisions that only would make sense IRL. IN college football I pick a very bad team and work my way up as a coach to get to my favorite team, and I do it with slow progression and playing with very challenging sliders so I cant dominate with a bad team. JMO but I wouldnt find it fun to act unrealistic in making trades and FA signings just to make my favorite team a power, I like to keep things real as possible. I suppose it just like playing online your always going to have your young fools who only care about being dominate by finding or playing unrealistic, they probably also have a insecurites, and a sad life,lol.

My first 2K was 2k7 on the original Xbox. I was pretty impressed with the graphics and gameplay and when I got a 360 I had to get the next version . I played a lot of 24/7 mode in 2K7.

My first 2k game was 2k11. I should have made a switch to 2k back in '08 or '09, but I was so use to playing Live because of the longevity that I had with EA Sports. The rest is history. My go to mode is Association.

My go to mode before it was took out the game was 24/7 mode, something about that mode when it first dropped in 2K4. From playing in Shawn Kemp's backyard all the way to playing in the ECB, I loved that game mode.

First 2K game was 2K9 and my go to mode is usually My Player but 2K11 and 2K12 was the Jordan Challenge and Legends Mode

My first was 2K10. Had been away from basketball games since NBA Live 06 and was just amazed at the development of bball games when I saw 2K10.

My go to mode is always Association mode. I used play Franchise mode in older Live titles.

Nba 2k on the dreamcast. Loved that game. Made me disappointed in live 2001 for ps2.

Original 2K on dreamcast in 1999 for me, I generally only play the new ones as I prefer having some parity between my rosters and actual ones so I never go back though I've been thinking of getting 2K11 again to replay the Jordan mode as it is my favourite mode since that is my era NBA and I remembered those Jordan games from when I was a kid!

2k11 on PS3! Basketball has been my 2nd favorite sport ever since. Wish there was more love for the game, where i live

Dreamcast. Possibly the best console that never took off. The controller was genius for sports games where you could play two player and not see each other's plays.
