My 1st was NBA 2K on Dreamcast. I was the 1st on my block with online play. My best friend and I would play with our dial up connections, and appreciated it because it was all we knew. That game was amazing for that era. I remember trying to convince my boys that it was a much better experience than Live. It was definitely a tough task. I loved that game.

Never had a console, so for me it was NBA 2K9 on PC (although I've been other playing basketball games on PC since I was 5, maybe 6; my dad sure didn't appreciate me deleting important documents just to make room in the hard-drive for the latest and greatest basketball game of the year). Association, 82 games, 12-minute quarters. Haven't budged since, with the exception of 2K14 Next-Gen which I'll play on the PS4.

Bought the dreamcast on day one with NFL and NBA 2K. Played 2K1 and 2K2 before college life made video games an after thought. Skipped Original Xbox and PS2 generation as a result. Returned to gaming on the 360 with 2K8-2k14.

Go to mode has always been Online Leagues and Online Association. With the right group of people, this mode is so immersive and addicting that you never want to play the AI ever again.

BTW Leftos, since you and simballer are the architects of Association for 2K, I'm curious if you guys are aware of the glitch filled Online Association and whether it will be functional for next gen?

NBA 2K1 Dreamcast. The intro video at the beginning, the player intros, Iverson on the coverand the soundtrack got me. It was the first one I remember that had Redman's song on it LOL.

Did a review on the entire series. Played them all. My favorite game mode is season\chise with the Trail Blazers.

I'n pretty sure 2k1 was the first one I actually played through. I remember saying those graphics were unreal at the time lol

The only 2k's I never played were 2k2, 6, 7 and 8 and that's only because during that period I wasnt really into basketball or the games at the time and 2k5 really left a bad last impression on me.

Once I bought 2k9 though, I was hooked.

I'd say the worst 2k this gen was 12 and the best was 11.
