Issue with inconsistent crowd noise
Whenever a broadcast team member talks when the crowd is cheering very loudly (which is nearly every single time as the commentary is first-class) the crowd volume gets lowered and raised in between their words. I forget what the correct term is for it...but it basically results in the crowd sounding like someone is turning up and down their volume rapidly. When the broadcast guys aren't talking, its fine. But often times you'll hear a really, really grating inconsistency in the crowd noise level after a big moment and it really detracts from the experience. Anyone been able to figure out if there's a way to get rid of this problem? I know i cant be the only one noticing this and who is supremely annoyed by it...I like to have the crowd pretty loud, helps me immerse myself in the game but when the volume of the crowd is constantly varying from second to second, it takes me right out of it.

Re: Issue with inconsistent crowd noise
Its called side chaining so basically what is happening is the crowd track will duck down whenever the commentary triggers it to do so. They probably do this because the two sounds played together clash in frequencies and it would sound like a$$, that's the most common usage for it in music anyways. -
Re: Issue with inconsistent crowd noise
The audio is poorly compressed. Loud sounds and low sounds are supposed to be all compressed at the same volume, but the louder announcers drown out the lower volume crowd.Comment

Re: Issue with inconsistent crowd noise
Current gen didnt have it and it sounded much better. Having the crowd go up and down whenever the announcers talk is a defect especially when you have the ability to control the volume with presentation sliders. A persistent loud crowed is much better than this stereotypical Indian-chant waw WAW waw effect. Its called side chaining so basically what is happening is the crowd track will duck down whenever the commentary triggers it to do so.
