Take my advice. If you're playing 2k11 my player, once you get on an nba team, set LOTS OF SCREENS. It's the best way to get a good teammate grade which leads to more sp. You can't do anything when you're a 40 overall.

You could still have crappy games in MC in 2K11 and still get more playing time, so it wasn't as difficult as you make it out to be.

However, the road of getting into the NBA was harder, which is something I loved. It was tedious to play the summer league games and the tryouts for teams, but it was more realistic cause if you didn't compete and put up good grades each game you would be relegated to the D League.

I really think they should reintroduce the Summer Curcuit, or Summer League, AND the D League. You could have a simple mode where it puts you in the Rookie Showcase, and a harder mode where you need to go through the combine, Summer League, etc, before the draft.
And I LOVED being in the D League having to scratch and claw in order to get a 10 day contract with a team.

But the mode itself, when you were finally in the NBA, wasn't all that different from 2K14. You could be relegated to the D League but you could also jump up in minutes even if you played like ****.

I definitely miss the old direction they had with My Player. I'm not a fan of the "become an instant superstar" direction the mode has taken. I want to be able to toil in the D League if I'm not ready yet.

You all forget one thing tho. The ai back then was horrendous. Much worse than it is now.

ok so I started myplayer 2k11 yesterday... I'm a offense point guard, and in the first game I had 7 points and one assist(that's right, but I had several great passes that set up scores, but the players moved far enough away so they didn't count as dimes. I thought that was pretty bad for five minute quarters, so I upgraded my midrange jumper, which was my biggest weakness... For some reason I can't do drills, so is the mode possible to succeed in without them?
