What stars you got? And when they say "I am taking a paycut", do they give you an amount that is locked up and you can't adjust (that was how nba 2k13 was if i rmb correctly), or you can adjust to make the pay to go even less?

I just tried to do it and it won't let me sign anyone new because of my cap situtuation, but I believe the amount was locked up. For instance, someone woth 10-12 mill might give the amount from 5-8 mill and I don't remember if I just wasn't able to adjust it or if I just accepted it without thinkin.

I think it was locked up, if I win another ship this year I'll hit FA and see what happens.

Just tried it out with Paul George actually after losing in the NBA finals. He became an UFA, but he was still willing to come back and play for only around 5 mill. and you can edit and lower the contract and do whatever.

Well from what I know which is very limited, you have to have salary cap space then you can sign somebody, so if you have let say 6 mil cap space, then the players will look to join your team by asking for a contract below that amount of money? Am I right?

I am now almost finishing up second season and hope the same thing can happen again!

Same here, I am finishing up my second season as well but got knocked out in second round, so i don't I did well enough to attract big names FA to come...

Kyrie took a pay cut at the start of the 2014-15 season in my association after I signed LBJ to a 4 year max deal. Kyrie said he wanted to take a pay cut to win and would sign a 5 year extension for about 80 mil. (In real life kyrie took 5 years 90 mil)

This goes against what someone said about players over 30 taking pay cuts. Kyrie took one in his mid 20s to win maybe only because LeBron was there lol

Did a quick 30 team start today association, it seems to be random. Some of the teams Pau wanted to go to was the Wizards, Spurs, and Nuggets

So does the game actually pop up a message saying, "hey wade wants to win championship and hes willing to take pay cut, and then he will offer you the amount the he wants, and then you just have no options to change the money slider (up or down) but accept? this was how nba 2k13 was, just wondering if it is the same in 2k14?

Seems like it.

I can't remember my cap space but it wasn't much, and the paycut players are willing to take usually does depend on the cap space.
