I need help with post shots, I know how to do fadeaway's and shimmy shots, up and under's etc... But the post protect, and the post protect spin shot are confusing me. Anyone know how to pull those moves off?

Re: Post shot guide?
When I practice these in shoot around mode, I will eventually get it with the same movement of the stick few times consecutively. However, then the same stick movement will execute some other move. It seems to me as though there are too many distinct post moves assigned to quite similar movements of the stick.***1971-72 ABA Roster 2K12 360***

I have had the same thing happen to me, maybe in the newer version they will list or make up controls for those moves. I just find it odd that their are a bunch of these shots with animations yet they have no real way of doing them. What?Comment

I mean, the instructions are in the 'advanced controls' section from the 'pause' menu but still it's almost random as to which stick-movement produces a given maneuver.***1971-72 ABA Roster 2K12 360***

Based on experience it seems to be somewhat random, at least for me.***1971-72 ABA Roster 2K12 360***

Re: Post shot guide?
It does seem a bit random, but I was messing around with it and I found that you can only do a protect shot in a certain part of the paint. It has to be where your shooting hand is, if I had means of recording it or taking a pic I would show where it was. What?Comment

Oh that could be the case. Y'know, I never even considered that. I know that dunk/lay-up animations have been dependent on the ball-hand relationship.***1971-72 ABA Roster 2K12 360***

Post shot guide?
Wait a second... It's just right stick down in the post to do a protect shot, and right stick up to do the post protect spin shot... Now the question is why doesn't 2K list this in the post shot advanced controls?
Edit: The post spin shot is just a spin shot from the post, still... 2K could have mentioned this in the advanced controls.Last edited by Storm12; 08-12-2014, 07:34 AM.What?Comment
