    2K14 vs 2K13

With lack of info regarding 2K15, I just wanted to find out what the difference was between 2K14 and 2K13 on the last gen consoles. I never got 2K14 and I'm sure there might be others who just kept 2K13 for a second year, so I want to see what the differences were from 2k13 and 2k14, especially if 2k15 is just 2k14 with mini updates like rosters/commentary and stuff.

Tbh I can't remember all the little details but I do remember 13 being absolutely terrible. One of my least favourite of the whole series.

So, if you didn't buy 14 I would tell you to buy 15 for sure. It will no doubt be a step up for you.

14 had things like new dribble moves, better animations, better contact animations etc.

If you're a long time 2K fan, you're a sim player, you're into gameplay... 2K14 is way better than 2K13 in every way. Nothing flashy but it's a way more polished game. Biggest improvement to me would be the spacing with the added d-pad options on offense : space the floor, 4 out 1 in, 3 out 2 in... 2K13's spacing was broken.

I'm getting 2K15 for sure, just want to see what the main differences are from 13 and 14 since there's not much info about difference in 14 and 15(at least for ps3/360) and I doubt there'd be much either.

One thing I'm wondering...are custom sounds fixed for PS3? Cause I know in every game I've played of 2K,the custom sounds during the game have had their problems. Specifically the ones playing during the actual game.

13 was a mess. Jay-Z presentation was a turn-off for me (removed things like showing subs on-screen for over-done gold effects). CPU AI was bad in both 13 and 14 when it came to situational awareness. Players with 2 fouls would often re-enter in the first half and pick up a 3rd foul, and even then, would stay in the game.

14 had better spacing and presentation was better, but still felt like both games were nowhere near the level of 2K11 and 12 (sorry 12 haters, I love Greatest Mode and 2K Share actually worked on the 360). Controls in 14 were better than 13, too.

I'm hoping 15 is improved, but not expecting it to be much different than 14.

Totally agree. Main gripe is the sub patterns but overall, 14 is a much better game, and I like the controls. For my skills, 14 plays a great game of basketball (as long as you crank the CPU midrange tendency in the sliders...if you are using default-type rosters).

NBA 2K23 on PS5, Red Dead Redemption II, World of Outlaws, MLB The Show 22

                Re: 2K14 vs 2K13

The main difference between all the games is always the animations, that being said, in every single game there are always BS animations that we hate to see, whether is rebounding animations, driving animations, shooting animations, etc, in 2k13 i think i remember the driving animations were horrid for me, 2k14 was a way better improvement in that aspect, that being said 2k14 had a lot of flaws regarding animation too, some sluggish rebounding animations, the unstopabble dunked on animation, and the sluggish defense (though i think that has always been a problem with 2k) overall i think i liked 14 more, but i played 13 more for some reason, think it was the leagues i participated in 2k13, something they never fix though are... THE SERVERS!! ahhh lol.

Hopefully 2k15 has better gameplay thats all i care about since we got crew alongside it, here are the "propaganda" improvements for 2k15.

                ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Features MVP Kevin Durant on the cover

Eclectic soundtrack is curated by the one-and-only Pharrell Williams

Award-winning gameplay includes new animations, a new shot-timing system and improved player AI for an intense basketball experience

With 2K Heroes, you can control teams featuring 5 epic players selected by and representing past NBA legends. Each 2K Heroes team supports a real-world charity with 2K making donations to each. You can earn wins for each team during a special promo period, and the team with the most wins gets a bonus donation.

Take your MyPLAYER online in the fully-featured Crew Mode, complete with NBA rules
                -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

So yea As long as the gameplay its better with no clunky BS animations, am good, i played 2k11 just for crew pretty much, so if the gameplay is better atleast ill call this 2k11 2.0 and be happy with it until the servers are shutdown like 2k11s...

in 2k13 it wasnt easy to get steals. a lot of reaching fouls were called. They should have kept it that way.

for 2k14 any1 can get a steal or block.

Yea in 2k14 i was doing a rebuild with the magic my team finished with 16 or 17 blocks a game. and Oladipo lead the team with 9.3 i think and Wiggins had 6.2 i think and not one of my big men (Noel, Embiid or Chris Andersen had over 1.1)

And when i play i would get 30-45 blocks a game with a PG or SG

OMG don't get me started... The first thing that sucked were the controls. I HATED THEM!! 2k14 had the best controls of the series.
