Re: Last gen impressions?
As promised, here are some impressions after playing a couple of games. All-Star/Simulation, 6-min. quarters and Real FG%.
So far, so good. The game is a polished version of 2K14 with some notable improvements, which is exactly what I was expecting the game to be. The CPU plays smarter than previous games and really looks to attack you with certain players. I just finished a Bulls (CPU) at Cavs game where Chicago ran tons of PNR action for D. Rose (he's not fun to guard). When he was out of the game, Hinrich was dishing the ball off to McDermott, Snell and others for perimeter jump shots.
In my first game, T'Wolves (me) at Hornets (the new court looks GREAT), the CPU would double-team Wiggins or Martin, often with the player that was guarding Rubio. Smart move as Rubio isn't a good shooter and sure enough he missed a few wide-open midrange J's.
The CPU seems to get into its offensive sets faster and floor spacing is improved.
Controls are the same as last year so if you liked that setup, you'll have no complaints here. Player movement is also similar, but feels tightened up from last year. As Nogster said, blocking has received a nice upgrade; I saw several nice swats by big men in both games.
My biggest beefs are the game takes a while to load and seems like you are forced to "check-in" with the 2K servers more than I previously recall. Damon Bruce is gone from the game so no commentary in the halftime show, which is a bummer. Kerr is announcing, but I'm OK with that because if he had just been removed it would've been too much dead air.
That's all I have for now. It's not my place to recommend this game to anyone. I'll just say that so far I am enjoying 2K15, so for me, it was $35 well spent.Currently Playing:

Re: Last gen impressions?
Great impressions dj. Good to see I'm not just seeing things and others are seeing it too. lol
Adam- be sure to post your impressions also...EA and 2k have the unfortunate task of trying to balance on a tightrope of fun and sim while trying not to fall 10,000 feet to their death. Instead of a safety net waiting down below there will just be angry customers quick to move out of the way and talk of their failure.Comment

Re: Last gen impressions?
I'm sure you are right about the shot blocking. I wasn't trying to depict each facet of the game. I was just saying that as a whole, as someone who doesn't normally pay attention to the gameplay, 2k15 felt painfully similar as last year. That's just my opinion of course. Don't get me wrong, there is nothing wrong with the game. As a matter of fact, I noted how impressed I was with the rosters. I can't recall a release day roster update being that accurate. Kudos to whomever is in charge of rosters. Didn't expect Lou Amundson or Joe Harris to be included in the Cavs roster from the first day.
My point was that playing it a lot for 3 days, It just feels so similar to 2K14 that for me, it was hard to get enthused while playing because on the surface it felt like I was playing the same game that I've had for 12 months.
I will say this though. I'm super bummed they took a Delonte West out the game.....Chinese Super League in 2k16?!Comment

Re: Last gen impressions?
Anyone able to upload their roster and shoe file? Don't have the Kobe 9s and kd7s etc. in my shoe vault. They are used by the players but not available in the vault. The shoes in my vault are still from 2k14 (No wade 2.0, kd7,soldier 8, kobe 9 etc.)Comment
