I'm with you EagleRock..Based on what beds said at TheEditor'sCorner website they are atleast working on the last gen rosters and it's just a question of who to cut from certain teams as some are already maxed at 15 players already. I would be cool if they just put the missing players into free agency and let me deal with them offline...

If they do not update arenas for old gen, then I'm done with this game and this company. We paid the same damn price $60 like everyone else on every other console and to cheat us out of what use to be very easy for them to do is unacceptable. So if I dont see court updates or a full accurate roster update by Tuesday, NBA 2K ceases to exist in my household and I will go out and purchase NBA LIVE and I will enjoy that game because I know (a) their servers are WAY better then 2K's and (b) they already confirmed to me who they had added in the game over the past few weeks and that they will be making nightly updates to the teams rosters. Gameplay might not be up to 2K's level, but I'm sure that NBA LIVE players wont feel like they are wearing cement shoes when playing online as 2K's does and I bet for damn sure that you dont wise layup after layup after layup after layup after layup after layup after layup in NBA LIVE. 2K took a huge step back this year and if its just because thats the old gen version well then I shutter to think what pandoras box they've opened on the new gen versions cause 2K isn't known for solving issues in their game, they pretty much ignore them cause they dont know how to fix them but that doesn't stop them from creating and adding new issues every year.

I just saw a video of a Pelicans game on next-gen, and they haven't got the updated Pelicans either. So maybe they'll update it later along with next-gen for current-gen.

Pisses me off that we pay 60 bucks for a game that isn't even up to date as of the day it comes out. i pay all this money and a patch can't even be ready on the day the game comes out for rosters or courts? really pisses me off

See I can understand everyone's frustration. You feel like you were wronged and cheated and you basically lost $60 and I feel for everyone on the old gens. 2K15 is NO WHERE near "simulation basketball". Like I've been saying, they continue every year to mess and tweak withy stuff that isn't broken or there is nothing wrong in the game with it. Shooting is without a doubt the best and foremost example. Let's take a look back starting with 2K12...

2K12 Shot Stick Controls:
Move and Hold RS to begin shot, Release RS to shoot = JUMP SHOT

Move LS Away from Basket + Move RS While Standing = FADEAWAY

From a Moving Dribble, Center LS + Move RS in Any Direction = DRIBBLE PULL-UP

From Triple Threat or Stand Dribble, Hold LT + Move RS Any Direction = ESCAPE DRIBBLE PULL-UP

From a Moving Dribble, Rotate RS in Circular Motion = SPIN JUMPER

While Dribbing Across Basket, Move RS Away from Basket = STEPBACK JUMPER

While Posted Up with a Live Dribble, Hold LT + Move RS in Any Direction = POST DRIBBLE SHOT

While Posted Up, Move and Hold RS Away Left/Right from Basket = POST FADE

Now lets look at 2K13 Shot Stick Controls:
LT + RS = JUMP SHOT

LT + RS toward hoop = STANDING FLOATER

LT + double-top RS back left/right = 1-DRIBBLE PULL-UP

LT + RS away from hoop = RUNNER

LT + RS = PULL-UP JUMPER

LT + double-tap RS away from hoop = STEPBACK JUMPER

LT + double-tap RS toward hoop = RIPOVER JUMPER

LT + double-tap RS with momentu = HOP JUMPER

LT + double-tap RS opposite momentum = SNATCHBACK JUMPER

LT + RS twirl clockwise = SPIN JUMPER

LT + RS twirl counter-clockwise = HALF-SPIN JUMPER


Now just at the difference between 2K12 and 2K13...what was it about shooting that needed to be changed because it was so awful in 2K12? Nothing was wrong, this was disguised as so that nobody could see that they weren't focusing on the actual real issues because now its obvious they don't know how to fix them. But that doesn't stop them from screwing something else up in the game and creating new issues that need to be fixed but will be ignored yearly because they will have spent all their time on their brand new game mode called "MyCheer" where you can create your own cheerleaders and audition to make the cheer team of your favorite team. (Yes that was meant to be sarcastic, because it would be really sad if it wasn't probably true and written up on their board of things to do).

There is no excuse or reason why they would not update the courts of those teams on every single version of their game. I'm sorry to say this, but it's got to be said. Anyone who has a last gen console paid $60, the same price that new gen and pc users paid for this game and although last gen users can understand not adding any of the new game modes into the last gen version, but since the day this game has come out the rosters have been a complete and total joke compared to the other consoles roster sets and now updating the courts. Last year you very well updated the courts 2K so there isn't really any reason you can post that will allow you to be excused from updating the new courts on the old gen consoles. If they don't I highly suggest that any old gen user that is making the switch to the new gens anytime soon, I don't care how much better the graphics might be for 2k on the new gens, don't give them another dollar that you work hard for. They have lied and ignored their customer base for far to long and now that EA is back on the map with Live again, I suggest that you give them a fair shake and purchase their game and hurt 2K where it counts....their wallet.

Yeah I definitely feel cheated man the game should be like $30 at the most. I feel you buddy. It's people like in your situation that 2K should be apologizing to but we all know they got their $$ they could care less about you. I'm sorry to say this, but those who were part of this community and have been hired by 2K over the past year you see how quickly they turned. They offer little to no insight when asked specific questions and they use the company line everytime. I'll just put it like this again, 2K has ruined any experience of me thinking their game is simulation basketball. And here's something else I just through thinking about...you think of what us custom roster editors go through on a yearly basis right editing this game. Why is 80% of our time editing a video game instead of playing it? Because when the game is released it isn't even damn near close to being finished. How is it that we should be going through and changing 30 teams playbooks? Who paid $60 to go through and redo 30 teams playbooks? Isn't that something that developers do when making the game? How can you not have the right contracts/salaries in the game for every player? Doesn't someone at 2K have a spreadsheet or access to a site that reports and posts all players contracts/salaries? Why do we have to edit them and change them to make them accurate? I've decided I will not purchase anything in the video game realm with the name 2K attached to it. They've shown over the years the incompetence of their entire 2K basketball team and it's now just hit the fan. Its unacceptable and it shouldn't be tolerated. They should be ashamed and embarrassed that they not only made EVERYONE pay $60 for this game, but that they do not give you any incentive for your $60 purchase and that to me is just unforgivable. Hell they don't care about the little intangibles that is fine with me, I know there is another developer out there that does (EA SPORTS) and they have listened to feedback from consumers and they are not going to make the same mistakes that 2K has. 2K left the door open for EA Sports to creep back in and they are going to take giant step through the door this year. I don't care if the gameplay is not the highest it can be, that just means that there is room for improvement and continuation. You don't fix what isn't broken, you leave well enough alone and if you can't fix any issue then come out and say you can't don't stay quiet and every year create new issues. 2K has dropped the ball and EA Sports is going to pick it up and run with it and I don't feel sorry for 2K one damn bit cause next year I'll be standing around watching people overlook your product after being reminded that you don't offer what you advertise, you don't sell what you speak of, you take one thing and try to put all the focus on that to distract from all the things you didn't bother to look at it and fix or just plain ignored hoping nobody would notice. I think next year your new mode should be "MyJOB" and let your consumers vote on whether you should have one after another release of a sub-par version of what your product use to be.

Yep old gen customers paid the same exact price as the new gen customers, so there is absolutely not excuse if they dont update courts and support the game just as they would with the new gen console game.

Its bad enough they lied about the Euro league players being available to be signed in Association, and making people think on the Playstaion Store with the NBA2k14 trailer that Ernie and Shaq were in the PS3 version, but if they update courts and atleast do the rosters as good as they did last yr then I will definitely give EA a fair shake whenever I do get a PS4, although thats going to be a very long time unfortunately.

1 thing EA has done with Madden is support the old gen console game, and while EA has never been much for honesty and doing the right thing in the past, they do seem to be putting forth more effort in that area now. Where as NBA2k use to be a good company and always tried to to their customers right, these past few years when they were the only basketball game out they started to become very dishonest and shady.

Its like they know even with NBA Live they still dont really have any competition so they can lie and do people dirty because they know we dont have much of a choice but to buy their game.

I really do hope EA gets their act together with basketball one of these days, because if they were to ever make a game close to as good as 2k then I will buy their game. Although I dont have much faith in EA to ever make a good basketball game, for some reason they just cant get competent developers that understand the game of basketball, and even with a couple years off to build a good basketball game they still are a long ways off to being even remotely close to the gameplay of NBA2k sadly. I do hope 1 day EA gets it, but dont have really any faith in tha happening. I will say Madden15 is finally a pretty darn good game after so many years of being trash, so maybe 1 day NBA Live will be solid. There was a time when NBA live way back in the day was a solid game, but then it went south and in a hurry.

Interesting, I didnt know that, I just thought Wang went back to 2k after a yr with EA, and after he seen the way they ran things went back to NBA2k team.

Its just hard to have much faith in EA basketball after all the fails. NBA2k does and has played a solid game of basketball for the last 2 years, and over the yrs it has been descent other than some sim stat issues with 11,12, and 13.

NBA2k's biggest failure here lately has been being honest with it customers. I do hope EA does make a good game at some point so there is 2 games to choose from.

It will be just like last year and there will be court updates im sure. We just got brand new rosters for online play also.
