A difference in the xbox and ps2 versions of Sega Nba2kx?

I only have, and have played nba2k2 on my ps2. I have a question for the xbox and gamecube users.

When you're using the default camera angle, which shows the whole court, and you're bringing the ball up, does the far court where your goal is at, blurry? (The court, the logos, players, and jerseys)

And as you get closer, do the graphics improve?
That's the best way to explain what I mean.

On the ps2, the graphics engine I guess you can call it, doesnt render that well so those graphics smooth out as you get closer to them.

It still does on the XBOX to an extent. The camera angle you choose does have alot to play with that and the lower the angle (showing more of the court) the worse it is.

      alright thanks.

One more thing if you guys havent noticed, Go play a west vs. east all star game, or any all star game in your franchise, and the jerseys/player models will be 20 times worse in that mode compared to normal season games. I wonder if this is a tri console problem or just the ps2.

Yea..thats a problem on the X-Box also. I played both versions and the jersey thing and the court thing occur in both. I don't see what is up with that...its the same way in NFL 2K3 with the field textures. They are blurry until you get like right up on them...causing the effect of the grass lookin like turf.

I only notice that kind of thing on 2K games. Even in WSB it does it in some spots, not as bad as the NBA or NFL probably cuz it was and X-Box exclusive this year. I dunno...maybe they will fix that next year...maybe even this year in NBA 2K3.

          Steve,

I noticed the fuzzy jerseys in all-star games too! Maybe if you have time to do a movie you could sim a season to the all-star game and then take some footage from that game. That way we could check out the uni's and also see a lot of peoples favorite players. Might kill two birds with one stone...just an idea? Thanks for your efforts!

In nba2k2, the legends players jerseys are walsy fuzzy. IN intro's or games against other all stars, or games against other legends, They are all fuzzy.

            I hoep they fix this.

The problem you speak of does NOT exist in my X-Box copy of NBA2k2. I know what you are refering to and it was very evident in the Dreamcast and PS2 versions, as I owned all three versions of the game except the Nintendo version. Perhaps it is a problem with systems, but I've went through two seperate X-Box systems in the last year and play NBA2k2 on a daily basis. The Graphical problem was not found in my copy on the X-Box. I purchased my copy of the game at launch so I am not sure if it is a problem with later copies of the tittle. Hope I was of help

Interesting. I don't know what it could be. I just hope my copy of nba2k3 is ok.

Ps. I see thse same changes in nlk2k3. Maybe its the ps2.
