Huh? Shaq was traded for just a few parts. Shaq is like a 99 and the Lakers got a couple of 70's and 1 80.

Some teams get rid of players because of cap space, so if teams just kept big money stars and wont trade them because of their rating, the franchise mode would go sour after 3 or 4 seasons and you'd be NBA Champions every year.

other than that how many big trades have we seen. besides i'm trying to make it harder to trade. Trades happen, but rarely do you see the super superstars involved. Or maybe they should have a loyalty rating like wsb2k3. The lower that rating is the less chance they will re-sign with the team. The rating is affected by whether you shop the player around a-lot, and whether you play him enough.

edit: instead i feel more players should test out free agency. not all but more than in nba 2k4. IN 2k4 no big name free agents ever tested the free agency makret. Also maybe it would help to sign a player if you could give a list of reasons why he should join the team, like he would be the focal point, or good place to live, or they have a good team.

this probably won't happen but it would be cool if it does.
