    I'm not big on how game development works. But is there a reason why 2k can't do like GTA V and MGS V and just make an install disc so that the last gen can have the next gen stuff? (aside from the graphics i guess)

      Production of an extra disk and distribution of that extra disk can be cost-inefficient. It would also become a problem if a user was to have that disk missing and wanting to play the game.

      Too much work and hassle for a previous-game game that sees a yearly release unlike GTA/MGS.

        I'm still on current gen but 2k hasn't assigned James harden to adiddas yet for some reason, Does anyone know if they'll update him to adiddas or will I have to stick with what I have

          So have they added any of the strategic and playmaking calls that they didn't have on lastgen last year? I mean like Point of Emphasis, or that Defensive menu "Focus, Aggression, Rebounds", or even Triangle/Pace and Space, etc? Or is it still just the same old stuff?

              That sucks. I don't really get why they do this. I remember someone asking San Diego Studio during one of their many live pre-release Twitch streams what the differences in gameplay will be between the 2 generations and they didn't get what he meant so the person explained it using NBA 2k and they basically laughed and said there is no gameplay changes everything was cosmetic specifically stuff like resolution textures in the grass or the new equipment, live jumbotron movies and fan celebrations, but that was it, just visual and graphic related stuff and improved load times.
