no pics allowed in sigs, bro.

as for the thread, hate to burst your bubble but i haven't adjusted any sliders and play mostly online and i make jumpers at a pretty realistic pace so it doesn't sound like you're as good as you think you are.

Since this I've actually gotten better results from most of my players(except Grant Hill. I can't figure him out :|). I went 1-1 since then, and felt that I shot well and realistically. The loss was because I couldn't stop the Warriors and their offense that just wouldn't be denied :P. I feel embarassed.. I made Calbert Cheaney look like an unstoppable monster :|, even though Richardson had a ton more points :P

I haven't used the magic yet this year but I've ALWAYS had a problem using Grant Hill. Ever since his rookie year he's just been tough to understand how to make play well in video games.

Maybe I should trade him, Francis, and both my picks for Cheaney

                j/k :P

The game isn't punishing you, it's the game being punished by the league's lack of midrange talent.

basically... though I have seen some have success with say Rip Hamilton. But yeah, all games at least a little lean towards the big play meaning 3's and dunks. Hill's not the crazy dunker he used to be and never had a great 3. the midrange game in these videogames is getting better but I think that's the problem with using guys like Hill. it's sad that your joke of trading for Calbert probably isn't horrible in videogame terms. I bet you could make Calbert average more than Hill.

Even when playing simulation mode :P I don't mind shooting about 40-45% a game, that's par for the course in the real NBA, but I just can't get all that much to fall from midrange.

Then again.. even going way way way way back to Bulls vs. Lakers, it's always been about going inside and jamming the ball through the hoop, with occasionally putting up the three. It IS much harder to do that against the CPU this year.. going inside that is... but all teams seem to play tight defense, getting into the lane suddenly no matter what so that's not much of an option. :P I just can't get much to fall midrange.. and that's been like this as far as I can remember! Ya gotta go inside and dunk to win.

Of course, the CPU has little problems getting inside :| and that's pretty much most of their game, it seems :P

It's gotten to the point where I'm starting Turkoglu over Hill, he's just been playing much better for me.

NBA2K5, IMO, is ALMOST getting to the real NBA game stats wise.. but I just wish it was equal footing on both CPU/Human, eh? :P If teams would play the way they're supposed to play.. then this game would be almost perfect, like CH2K5. That game's got my vote for sports game of the year
