Really the only place to go from here is just maintainence and trouble shooting.

My biggest thing (and this has been the case with every incarnation of NBA2K) is trying to get the Warriors to play like themselves and still have a crap record. They keep ending up in the top 5 no matter what I do to the roster or the coach profile etc . . .

As a result there are a few things I noticed that can be tweaked. Monta Ellis 3pt. percentage is WAY TOO HIGH!! And Corey Maggette is a monster on the glass.

THese are just little things but since I can't imagine what Trajan can add to this amazing project next, might as well clean up the little things.

      By the way,

Big thanks to everyone who put this together (Even you Rashidi). This thing is incredible, kuddos.

It's up on 2Kshare. I removed Tomba's speed and dribble edits, added in Vyaras' coach profile settings for offensive tempo, fastbreak, and run plays. With the Pistons and Blazers, I left Nogster's settings for offensive tempo since they were higher. I also updated transactions and corrected Jerry Stackhouse's contract. Now, I can get back to concentrating on the spreadsheet. Anybody still interested in the version with Tomba's speed and dribble edits?

There's no need for any more attribute adjustments. The game is playing great as it is. Enjoy your break. The rotations need a little fixing as you have a few bench players with higher overall ratings than starters, causing the CPU to put them in the starting lineup. I could look at that later on. There's nothing that can be done about Nate Robinson and Manu but others could be fixed without hurting their true skill level.

Can u put Vyaras coach profiles in the spreadsheet so us PS3 users can have access to them too?

Great stuff Trajan. Could you give us some brief thoughts on whether the smoother gameplay using Tomba's speed edits is worth the tradeoff for unrealistic rotations and stats? Maybe after others read what you think you can gauge feedback and decide whether making another roster with Tomba's edits is worth it.

I know gameplay is important but since I am finally going to start an association that I want to go deep in, stats and minutes are also important. In association the game outside of matches is also enjoyable. If the simulated stats are realistic enough that is.

I hope next year 2k can show this franchise more respect and not back us into a corner where we have to make so many compromises

I like Nogstar's sliders. I like the minimalist approach to it. I tend to shy from sliders that tweak 90 percent of the parameters. But I don't used Nogstar's sliders raw. I changed some values back to default and tweaked others. Especially cos of the 2nd patch.

Now it plays beautifully. I can icon switch and manually rotate during pick and rolls and choose which player to leave open (most of the time). Instead of before where the cpu controlled team mates move and rotate straight away doing whatever they wanted and leaving whoever they wanted open. Especially when they would double team and the whole thing was chaos. Cpu is smarter now as well. They tend to take what you give them. Some players complain in patch 2 that the cpu keeps doing the same move over and over again. Which I find pretty idiotic that someone would let a computer do the same move on them consistently (except for constant oops which is bloody annoying but doesn't exist in patch 2 if you are concentrating). Happens to me sometimes but I take a timeout and think about how to stop it. Make some coaching changes as well. Sometimes I'm stingy and just pause the game and think instead. Like in the game and real life teams will score cheap baskets though. Part of any team sports.

Also its easier to control the paint now as well so not so many slider adjustments are needed. It is much easier to switch to help defense and go for the weak side contest. It does it automatically if you go near the player driving to the rim if you get there in time and don't press block or you will foul. The player will throw his hands up straight and contest. This contest animation was nowhere near as natural in patch 1.

This is only if you get beaten or know you will get beaten off the dribble. If you can stay in front of your man and he tries to do a layup you won't need to press block. If you are truly infront then the contact and hands up is enough. Just need to get use to knowing when to block and/or when to just stay infront of your man and/or when to switch to weak side help. Also, for weak side help, if you KNOW you will get there in time and confident and using a player with good hops and blocking ability you can also go for a weak side block. Holding turbo will increase your chances but it comes out slower then normal block so you gotta anticipate that he is going to take it all the way.

without tomba's I would suggest nogster's sliders since they match his tendencies, or yellz's since he created his using nogster's rosters.

Playmakers with davon's edits are probably worth a try as well.

                              Re: Nogster's Roster 2.0 for 360 *RELEASED*

I have a good case for keeping Tomba's speed edits:

Last year we descovered that universal lowering all the player's quickness to 30 drastically lowered the teleportation effect.

So (I imagine) the reason for having everyone at 50 and the slider set to 30 is to do this again.

Now lets say we lower the slider to 10 . . . we would be able to raise the gaurds to 70 for quickness. and cut down on the association minute problem we're having.

THe obvious problem is that the big guys would have a quickness rating of 10 and I don't know if that's the equivelent of dividing by zero as far as gameplay goes.

                              Can someone ask Tomba.

your shot sliders should'nt need much adjustment at all..
maybe inside shot lowered a few and layups..
but ya start at 50, all sliders
try the main sliders from tomba's set you initially suggested.
(mainly game speed lowered, quickness and ball handling.)

thats the only adjustments i have needed to make:
                                10 min qtrs
                                game spd 47

ALSO: in association mode are top scorers off a point or two???
                                check 'draw foul' tendency.
superstars need a 85 and above. shot tendency imo
for example lebron james averaged the most free throw attempts per game in association.. his draw foul was 88? i think.

....kobe's was some where in the 50's.

basically in real life there are two players averaging around 29 and i think 5 players are hovering the 27 point per game range.
so, simply take into account the shot tendency of said player.. then up the draw foul tendency. then wash rinse repeat.. shouldnt take long as in real life only the elite are known for 'getting the calls'
