Im watching a SPURS-MAVS game [pro, default sliders, fouls] and im seeing no issue.

What the hell? Who actually plays this game on pro?

Dirk getting 10 assists and only taking 10 shots to me shows that this 33 inside shooting tendency is doing just that. making dirk pass out instead of go up himself and generally draw the foul.

ROFL, he was NEVER inside when he was doubled. This isn't the first matchup of these two teams I've simmed either, and Dirk has scored quite a bit in other sims. The CPU just chose to double him all game, possibly because Duncan left the game with foul trouble 6 minutes in.

and the double teaming of Dirk you kept mentioning to defend Dirks stats. well, the only time NBA210 will double team is if the player is on fire, or he gets the ball inside under the hoop or has backed down a player that is mismatched..

Too bad none of those things happened (which makes the use of the word "only" pretty "invalid"). Dirk was never on fire, and he never caught the ball under the hoop. He was ALWAYS doubled about 12-15 feet from the basket on the elbow. He was never doubled due t a mismatch (and if the cpu DID double on mismatches they certainly would have done it the 4 times Haywood posted a PG).

Just because Dirk doesnt take many shots under the hoop is more because he doesnt get the ball under the hoop a lot. [tendencies and hotspots]

I'm sure the fact that he has terrible athleticism (that limits his finishing ability) and a great outside shooting touch has nothing to do with it either. You say "basketball 101" is getting to the hoop but that doesn't mean every player gets to the hoop.

I just cannot agree with a 7ft scorer being 33 for inside shooting tendencies in NBA2K10. that is lower than I have most PGs.

Which is also why all 80% of your shots are coming in the paint. I can't agree with that. If I wanted to play that, I'd whip out NBA 2K5.

Yeah it may be statistically correct in reality. But IMO it doesnt translate to the gameplay of this videogame.

toward the end of 3q's, Spurs at Mavs

spurs lead 87-72.

Dirk: 14pts, 7rebs, 4ast, 5/11fgs, 4/4fts. 18mins. [foul trouble].
3 layups.
2 jumpers.

No issue with PIP.

Spurs: 38.
mavs: 24.

What I noticed however was the pace of the game was too fast for my liking,
this is because i was using a version of these rosters where the fast break coach profiles were too high. and the run plays slider too low.

Trajan, I read that you uploaded an update that reverted these changes back to what I originally had them yeah?

Really that was the only issue i found watching the game. [while looking after my 1yr old boy]

Another thing. when watching cpu vs cpu games, put the difficulty to pro. It plays a little better from my experience.

Yeah ive noticed since the latest patch that they dont double mismatches much anymore. kindve dissapointing.

About the Dirk doubling. well Ive never seen a player doubled [the actual doubling animation]without being on fire or without posting a mismatch [pre patch 3] or in a pick n roll in 2k10 so......Ill leave it at that.

If it was I wouldve adjusted accordingly.
Ive played 100s of hours of nba2k10. Editing, testing, playing. And as I said one of the first things I did was adjust the inside shooting tendencies of star bigs, because way too often I was seeing them needlessly pass out when they were in prime position to score or draw the foul.
So much so that I adjusted the inside scoring coach profiles of every team to a default of 75.
I have no issue with it. In fact I still see this happen.

I have no desire to get into a roster war with you.
