any pointers with playing with these rosters? Everytime i play I am close in the first half and then I get blown out in the second half. I am playing on pro. I do love how the game plays with these rosters but I dont want to lower it to rookie. thanks neon

Noen,maybe is a placeboo effect but with Hard Foul tendency raised I saw less and 1.
In particular if a "little" player has contact with a big man.
I think that this scale is good(by tgballin)
pg. 50-60
sg. 60-70
sf. 70- 80
pf. 80 -85
c. 85- 99
Obviuosly with the appropriate exceptions.

I just finished editing all of the Draw Foul and Contest Shots for all teams. It was exuasting.
Anyways, i just made my hard fouls scale.
Base: 25
+
75% of the players weight
+
Fouls per48
I have to get some sleep in, so im just going to edit, the CAVS,CELTICS,MAGIC,LAKERS and Maybe Denver or Dallas.

Umm..i dont know..it takes some time to get used to the raised cpu awareness. Also, evertybody might need to get better at Isomotion to get loose on the perimeter and get moves off in the post. Unless you always use a beast.Comment

ok thanks. I will practice. I was using the kings against trailblazers and aldridge was killing thompson and hawes on short jumpers. roy was hitting everything but i was killing him with martin so they basically canceled each other out. it was a very fun game though and i like that they punish you for throwing dumb passes. thanks neon i think i will start an association after you update after the trade deadline.Comment

just wanted to say great work on the rosters and also had a few questions...
1. Will you be editing, the inflated block and steal ratings for each player to get them at a realistic number?
2. are you gonna edit any rebounding ratings?
3. are you going to edit free agents after your completed the team rosters?
4. Are you going to add in any created players? Sundiata Gaines, Marcus Landry, etc..?

Hey neon I can see that you edited the magic playbook. It is very relieving to know that you are a Magic's fan and although you are a pro and will pay attention to every team, I know you are going to ensure the Magic play like the magic. Hopefully it is possible.
I just hate it when I am using the magic and I get Matt barnes posting up and players don't spot up when I am driving or posting up with Dwight. They do it but not often enough (which is like everytime apart from power slashing by Barnes and sometimes carter irl). This is with spot up tendency at 99 for freelancing or whatever. I really hope to play the Magic like they do irl without using playbooks all the time.Comment

i can appreaciate your formula, and havent tested with latest release.
but hard fouls for big men need to be extremely high. 90-100 to notice any difference.
on default roster, does birdman (from den) give up easy baskets?
answer- no 99 hard foul tendency.
so your nazr mohammed dj mbenga's of the nba 2k world need such edits.. and you will see a difference.
but hey its all good, i can always add it in later for personal use. no biggie.Comment

There POSSIBLY might be less and 1's, but at the same time, it also possibly could just be wishful thinking on my part seeing what i want to see.
When i edited the contest shots like he suggested, The effect was obvious and anybody can see the difference....I gave Shaq, Perkins, Barnes etc 90-99, even all small PG's are around 60-70 and im wanting to see somebody get laid out and at least fall down on these fouls but im honestly just seeing the exact same foul animations. I mean the lowest i have is like a 60 hard foul rating.
If you guys disagree and ARE seeing different things PLEASE let me know im wrong, because i REALLY want to be wrong on this (seeing somebody get hit hard would be awesome).
I just dont want to spend 2 days editing this rating for everybody, if it isnt going to make a noticible visual or even statistical difference in gameplay.
Maybe if some of you want, edit a full team (or rotation guys) to all 99's. If you dont see anything happening, then its obviously a waste of time that could be put on the back burner for more pressing/needed edits.

one thing i've saw is that after changing this tendency for the cpu, is the fouls looked more 'definitive'

Dont get me wrong, ill be putting in the edits, im just saying im not visually seeing/noticing anything really "different".
My ranges are within that scale Serra said you used , im just curious as to what this edit is actually doing in game if anything.
Most likely were going to have to edit one team to all 99's and play them against a normal team and see if there is anything to this rating.
You'd think it HAS TO actually cause SOMETHING to happen. Maybe we just need to figure out the magic number that triggers it and how often "it" is actually going to happen.Comment
